As we all know, Jason Momoa’s character Duncan Idaho dies a warrior’s death. In Frank Herbert’s novelDune Messiah,Idaho returns as a ghola named Hayt and is given to Paul Atreides. Not remembering much of his previous life, Hayt is trained to kill Atreides who has now become emperor.

Throughout the novel, the readers observe Hayt seeing glimpses of Idaho’s life. A dwarf by the name of Bijaz manipulates Hayt into killing Paul Atreides when he says the words“She is gone”.Before the plan could be executed, Hayt remembers that he was the swordmaster for the Atreides family and instead kills Bijaz while Paul Atreides kills Face Dancer Scytale (the creator of this whole plot).
