HuniePop 2: Double Dateis the sequel the fan-favorite dating sim/match-three mash-up from 2015. The game has beenin developmentfor a while, but today developer HuniePot pulled back the curtain and gave us a look at some of the gameplay changes coming to their sophomore effort. It’s still the same match-three gameplay you know and love, but with a few added twists. Givethe new trailera watch below.

HuniePop 2: Double Datetakes you to a new island paradise for what is sure to be an incredibly sexy adventure. The biggest new feature HuniePot is showing off with this trailer is the new double date system. Basically, this mode lets you talk to two girls at once. As you match up tiles, you’ll shift between the two girls and will need to manage them both well for a good score. For a game that already boasts some surprisingly deep strategy, this seems like a smart direction to take things. It will open up new possibilities for play, and keep veterans and newcomers alike more than entertained.

HuniePot has also gone in and fully revamped most of the systems. Improvements were made to the economy, progression, and more. On top of that, they’re putting tons of new gifts into the game, which directly tie into those systems. It wasn’t fully explained in the trailer how these changes affect gameplay, but I would expect we’ll get that information soon.

The final big addition is the new “Baggage” feature. This appears to give the girls you’re dating different items that force you to change up strategy.  HuniePot is saying these will add “new twists as you play”, so I’m hoping these will keep the game interesting as you improve your skills.

TheHuniePop 2: Double Datetrailer ends with a quick rundown of the many traits of the girls. Some of these arenew characters, butHuniePopveterans will, of course, recognize afew familiar faces. The game still doesn’t have a firm release date yet but it is “coming soon” to PC.
