Overriding The Shining Wastes Tallneck
Typically, Tallnecks can be easily climbed, as there are tall structures present near the machine that you may use to reach its top. However, the Tallneck located in Shining Wastes presents aunique challenge.
Unlike other Tallnecks, there is nothing around it to help you climb to its top. That’s because you are not supposed to override it until a certain point in the game’s storyline. The Shining Wastes Tallneck plays a significant role in one of the game’s main quests,Wings Of The Ten. So, if you’re hoping to override it before that point, you’re out of luck.
During the Wings Of The Ten quest, once you’vecompleted the Cauldronand obtained the Override Key for theSunwing, it’s time to head back to Aloy’s main base and meet with her crew regarding the loss of Varl. Once all the cutscenes are finished, you’re able to start crafting the Sunwing Override inside the Fabrication Terminal.
You may face difficulties while crafting it, but there’s no need to worry since the mission will guide you through every step of the process. After you’ve successfully crafted the Override, you can tame and mount a Sunwing; it’s time to take to the skies and head to the Shining Wastes Tallneck location. With the Sunwing, you can fly directly to the top of the Tallneck’s head and override it just like you would with any other Tallneck.
