Krubis is a drugged-up maniac who hasenslaved the teddy bear-like creatureson Zephyr inHigh on Life. Using them as his mining workforce, he aims to collect the cute mole-like animals which are being used as a drug among the many alien races.

In order tobring peace to Zephyr, and prevent any more animals from being sacrificed or enslaved, you’ll need to take down Krubis. This guide will walk you through how to defeat him in battle.
Keep Your Distance From His Shotgun
The first attack Krubis will use on you is his base attack —the shotgun. He’ll hover around the ground, chasing you around the arena while firing off this shot. As long as you are a decent distance away from him, it won’t do very much damage. Justkeep your distanceand continue to fire off shots when you can.
Sometimes, he will end up getting closer to you. If this happens, just continue to position yourself so there is a wall or object between you to avoid his attack.
Avoid The Burrow & Disk Blade Combo
The next attack you’ll encounter is the disk blade. He’ll only fire this shot when he isburrowed into the ground. When he first burrows,use the grapple bugsabove you to stay off the ground and avoid his attacks from below.
Eventually, with half his body still in the ground, he’ll pop his head up as he prepares to fire off the disk blade. When this happens, you can either dodge the blade or deflect it back at him using R3. If you choose to dodge it, just be aware it can bounce off of the walls and hit you from behind.

Grapple Around The Laser Beams
About a third of the way through the battle, Krubis will jump up on a ledge and hide behind some glass while he sends out some minions for you to fight. Use this opportunity toquickly dispose of the minionsand collect the health they drop. Right after this brief intermission, he’ll start using the laser beam attack.
Once you see the lasers positioned around the battlefield,use Knifey to grapple around the room, avoiding the path of the beams. Krubis will fire off shots following their path, so continue focusing only on dodging until the beams disappear.
Beware His Suction Attack
The final move Krubis uses against you is the shotgun’s suction attack. He’ll start by burrowing into the ground and then move around inside the walls while shooting at you. Occasionally, he’ll use the suction to pull you up into the air so he can take some clean shots.The suction doesn’t actually hurt youthough, so just use this brief moment to locate where he is and start firing.
When you land back on the ground, you should be able to see his head poking out. Fire some shots at it to do damage, or use your glob shot to blast him out of the ground or surrounding walls.Using the glob shot will also stun him, regardless of what attacks he is using on you. Once stunned, you’ll have an opportunity to fire off a clip or two uninterrupted. you’re able to also run up andmelee him with Knifeyto do a large amount of damage. Continue stunning and slashing him in this way, and he’ll go down in no time.
