Fortnite’sChapter 6 Season 4: Shock ‘N Awesome has players fighting to survive against an infestation of burrowing bugs. Members of theHelldiversteam, including Arrowhead CEO and insect aficionado Shams Jorjani, have commented on the obvious similarities.
The Shock ‘N Awesome seasonincludes a long list of new skins, weapons, and equipment tailored perfectly to shred swarms of bugs as part of the anti-bug military defense force, the O.X.R.

While an official Fortnite x Helldivers collaboration hasn’t been revealed yet, the Helldivers boss was asked if they were enjoying the new season of Fortnite, given the obvious similarities, to which Jorjani replied, “It feels very democratic”.

While the swarm-shredding similarities are abundant, and fans remain hopeful that some sort of official collab will materialize, community manager Katherine Baskin was asked if they thought Fortnite’s infestation would affectHelldivers player counts.
I’m not worried. Fortnite is Fortnite, Helldivers is Helldivers. If the kings of video game drip think our drip is cool enough to… inspire them… then that’s super cool. But our games couldn’t be more different from one another. There’s room for us all at the king’s table.

Fortnite continues to innovate in the gaming world by releasing a steady stream of themed content, with a long list of successful collaborations and concerts. There are a few different ways Helldivers and Fortnite could make things official, including skins, items, or additional enemies or locations, and gamers are hopeful it will become a reality. One of the fan comments in the Shock ‘N Awesomelaunch trailerreads: “So who else thinks Super Earth should deploy some Helldivers for this bug infestation?”

Fortnite has also deployed one of the most respected hero teams of all time, the Power Rangers, so you’ll still be blasting bugs in style. Epic Games also plans to release additional modes of transportation to the Shock ‘N Awesome season at a later date, including a Roly Poly bug that you can use to roll around the map and a heavy-duty aerial vehicle.
The season has only just begun, and Epic still has some tricks up its sleeves, as leaks and rumors have suggestedproximity chat and petsmay also be making an appearance this season.
