Speaking frankly about Escalation of Freedom, Mikael says the team"didn’t hit our target with the latest update.“He cites the studio’s inconsistencies in its approach to balance and game direction and states what matters now is"Action, not talk.”

In the next 60 days, Arrowhead Game Studios plans to address several community talking points, including updates to fire mechanics and rethinking their design approach to primary weapons.

In response to calls to fix the Railgun, Pilestedt simply replied, “We did,” explaining that the weapon was working as intended. Regardless of the reasoning, the Railgun went from fan-favorite to barely used in one fell swoop, which is still being felt today.
