“I remember back in the early days I hung out with Brandon Lee,”he shared, noting that he drove a hearse and lived in Echo Park at the time. He further recalled a memorable night he spent with Lee when the late actor told him he thought he would die young, like his father.

“Safety is a number one priority,”Sander said, as perVarietynoting the inherent dangers such as moving vehicles, stunts, and various equipment on the film set. He shared that he decided not to take any risks and prohibited having any firing weapons on set.

The first day I met with the special effects department and the armorer, who was great, in Prague — They follow all the same guidelines as the military… but I didn’t even want to risk that — So I said, categorically, “We will have no firing weapons on set.“
