While Gunn gave a hearty welcome to both Lindelof and Mundy, his comments against theLostcreator resurfaced on social media. A fan posted a screenshot of aFacebook commentmade by Gunn in 2012, which carried some scathing remarks about Lindelof. Gunn, like a plethora of other fans, hated the finale season ofLostand took his anger and frustration to social media. Gunn wasn’t kind to the creator, comparing him to the infamous magician Uri Gellar.
In his comment, Gunn shared that Lindelof was close to Satan in his book and called him a“total scam artist.”He added that the creator had“no integrity”and ended the comment by calling him a“liar”. He wrote:

Lindelof is close to Satan in my book because of the end of Lost. He’s the Uri Gellar of storytellers, a total scam artist with no integrity whatsoever. And a liar.
It is clear that Gunn’s reaction was just a fan venting his frustration, however, his words were too hurtful against Lindelof. Gunn’s feelings toward Lindelof must’ve changed in the last decade, maybe after a couple ofLostrewatches or catchinghis critically acclaimed series likeWatchmenandThe Leftovers. Lindelof is way past all the criticisms forLostand may not mind the comments from Gunn at all, considering it’s old news.

Gunn also targeted filmmakerRidley Scottduring the release of the trailer ofPrometheus. He shared that he liked the trailer but was skeptical of the movie because of Scott. He shared that theAliendirector hadn’t impressed him with a single movie sinceThelma & Louisein 1991.
