As reported byVGC,Halo Infinite’s multiplayer creative director Tom French revealed in a recent tweet that he leaves343 Industriesafter over 11 years to explore new opportunities and adventures in his career. This is just another departure from the studio this year afterBonnie Rossand David Berger.Tom French didn’t reveal anything about his next destination in the gaming industry, but we can expect to see him somewhere else soon as he mentioned he will begin a new adventure. “After over 11 1/2 years on Halo, I step out of my Spartan armor for the last time today to head off to new adventures,” said French. “It’s been a massive honor to have been part of a game I loved so much as a player and admired so much as a developer. I couldn’t be more proud of my time at 343.”

With these big departures from 343 Industries, it remains unknown what the next big step for the franchise is. Halo Infinite eventually received its Campaign Co-op, Forge, and Mission Replay modes recently, as all of them were part of the highly-requested features by fans. However, Halo Infinite still doesn’t have a large portion of players on PC as a free-to-play experience, which puts it far behind its competitors in the case of an active player base.

The development of Halo Infinite didn’t go as planned, withMicrosoftdelaying the game’s release for an entire year. Unfortunately, the game wasn’t completely ready at its December 2021 launch, lacking some big features such as campaign co-op and mission replay. The troubled development of the game continued to affect its post-launch plans as well, which is one of the reasons why players left Halo Infinite’s multiplayer after a few months. 343 Industries delivered only two seasons of content in a year along with the Winter Update that contains most of the anticipated content.

Currently, Certain Affinity is working on aspecial Halo Infinite projectthat is yet to be announced. Some believe it could be a new take on the Battle Royale genre, but an official reveal is still pending.
