GTA 6is a step in the right direction regarding inclusivity. It features the first female protagonist in the series in a series of games infamous for objectification of women. Lucia, one of the two playable characters featured quite extensively in the game’s trailer, was appreciated by fans, with some even gushing over the female protagonist.
Now, fans are wondering who the actress is playing the lead in the title. Some names have come to light, and while nothing has been confirmed, speculation is continuing and showing no signs of stopping. A YouTuber, going by the handle LeagacyKillaHD, recently posted something about the game’s female protagonist on their Twitter account. The YouTuber seems confident and claims to know who plays the female protagonist in the title.
YouTuber Claims to Have Found GTA 6’s Protagonist’s Voice Actor and Model
As mentioned, LegacyKillaHDpostedrecently on his Twitter account, hinting at the actress supposedly playing the female protagonist. In the post, he retweeted a video which another user posted and wrote:
If it’s not clear yet, this is GTA 6’s Lucia. Yes a few sources confirmed, one awhile ago. And uhh hope she’s ready for the simping she’ll be getting for the next number of decades…
The video, which the YouTuber reposted, featured Manni L. Perez, rumored to play the female protagonist in the title. LegacyKillaHD also reposted another tweet from a Twitter user named Gaming Detective, which reiterated that Manni L. Perez is the individual who is confirmed to be playing the female protagonist in the title, as per various sources.
On the post, various comments by believers and skeptics can be found, some of whom present valid arguments for their opinions. Some stated that they had listened to interviews with the voice artist and that Manni L. Perez sounds similar to the game’s protagonist from the trailer. Others commented that as per the contract to keep a low profile when working with a behemoth of a project likeGTA, some people still went out of their way to find her, which is most undoubtedly appalling.
The people are skeptical of the proposition made by LegacyKillaHD, and other netizens on Twitter presented why they thought so. Some even quoted the actress’sresume, which is available on her website in the public domain.
As one can see, there is a mention ofGTA 5in the voiceover section of her resume. It is doubtful that the studio would take a chance to feature someone who has worked in their previous title as the protagonist in their next one. Not because there is anything wrong with it, but because the chances of the individual being discovered and spotted by fans with eagle eyes are much more increased if something like that happens.
This was also what happened when the protagonist forGTA 6was first revealed in the game’s debut trailer. It only had some shots of Michael and some voiceover which made it possible for enthusiastic fans to recognize that it was Ned Luke who was playing the iconic character.
Some people were even thinking of the actor playing Jason in the video game. A curious fan visited Maddi L Perez’s Instagram profile and found an individual named Jonathan Stanley. The individual at first glance, seems to resemble Jason quite a lot. While we didn’t get a lot of angles and profiles for Jason to confirm if it is Jonathan Stanley who is playing him, the chances of Stanley playing the character are minimal.
The reason is that the actor’s Instagram page is very active, with twenty-six posts. Previously, Michael’s voice actor fromGTA 5, Ned Luke, had stated that he had to do away with his social media presence to comply with the studio’s contract. This makes it a little less probable for Stanley to play Jason.
GTA 6is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated in recent times. This is primarily because it has been more than ten years since the last one, and the next one will not arrive until 2025. And keeping in mind what the studio did withRed Dead Redemption 2, the studio might delay it even further if the development takes time. Regardless, it has some huge expectations to fulfill as a title and only time will tell if it can surpass or even match up to the last title.
