Grounded 2is a game with a lot to offer to players who are willing to take on thehardest challengesavailable. These challenges can take a tremendous amount of preparation and skill to pull off, but once you do, there’s no feeling quite like it.
One of these challenges is going after Optical Disk B, which is nestled deep inside a spider nest. If you’ve got the gear and the brains, you can tackle this head-on on but knowing what you’re running into will help even more.

Unlike withOptical Disk A, you’ll want to make sure you have the right gear and equipment to come out on top and grab that disk. You can try just running in and snagging it, but you may want to do so with an empty backpack because getting out alive is never a guarantee.
Optical Disk B Location
You’ll find Optical Disk B in the northernmost part of the map. It looks like it should be back in the hedge part of this area, but it isn’t. Instead,it’s hidden inside the spider’s nest just a little ways away.
You should be very careful in how you approach this disk, as it is surrounded by an incredible number of critters, including a Wolf Spider that will stalk the corridors of the nest. I’ll cover some preparation you may do just in case you end up needing to fight the Wolf Spider.
Preparation for the Spider’s Den
The Wolf Spider is one of the toughest enemies in all of Grounded 2 currently.It’s fast, strong, and venomous, so it can do a considerable amount of damage over time.
There are some items and a mutation that should help you mitigate venom build-up. It is fairly rare for now, so you may need to hunt some things down in order to get everything.

Navigating the Spider’s Den
I’d love to tell you it’s a big maze down there and that will be the most difficult part of this journey, but I can’t. Unfortunately, the actual pathing there is rather straightforward, and the biggest thing stopping you is all the spiders and ants.
Grounded 2: How To Get The Red Ant Buggie
Who doesn’t want to ride a bug?
You might imagine this would be a good opportunity to use your Red Ant Buggie, and you’d be half correct. The only problem with riding it in there is thatthe tight space is packed with enemies, making movement difficult.
When you go inside, you’ll only have one way to go.Follow the path in front of you until you come to the spot pictured above and turn right immediately.You’ll find the disk sitting by a corpse just off to your right.
You should bring a weapon that does Spicy Damage so you can easily kill a vast majority of the spiders, since most are weak to Spicy, including the Wolf Spider.
Optical Disk B Rewards
You’ll get a decent addition of items to the Science Shop at Ranger Stations when you turn in the disk. Although it may not be quite as good asOptical Disk C, it’s still not a bad find by any means.
