They are marked on your map, so you’ll have a decent idea of where they are. The biggest issue is that you’ll never know whether they’re up high or underground.
That’s why I’ll cover where to find this annoying disk in this guide. You’ll have a few hoops to jump through, but for the most part, you’re able to just grab it and bolt.
Optical Disk A Location
This particular disk isn’t too far from where you’ll be starting, so it’ll likely be one of the first few that you grab. If you go over right where it is, you’ll find nothing there with no way down to it.
Justnorth of you is the entrance to an anthill. You’ll need to descend into it if you’re hoping to get your hands on that disk.

Navigating the Anthill
Once you enter the anthill, you’ll be surrounded by cans of bug spray. There won’t be any enemies that attack outright, so it just becomes a game of finding your way through the maze, and you may want to ride yourRed Ant Buggieso you can just dash through everything.
All of the small pools of bug spray can and will cause damage over time.
I’ll list here how you can navigate the maze and any potential issues you may encounter. If you need any roach parts, this may be the easiest way to acquire them, as the area is completely filled with roach nymphs.
You won’t have much time to grab the disk unless you want to fight the large cockroach queen that moves around the small area. It won’t attack at first, butif you stay there for too long, you’ll end up fighting regardless.
There is a special weapon hidden behind the mushrooms in this room. If you have a level two axe, you’re able to cut them down and grab Gloom Skewer.
Optical Disk A Rewards
This particular disk will give you access to the following items. They’re mostly for base building, but the fortifications will behelpful for survivalin the face of theMasked Strangers’raids.
