The Photo Mode is a continuation of what players already know from 2018’sGod of War. There are familiar settings, including the ability to add a range of expressions to characters within a scene. However, this is limited to just a few of the main cast, which include Kratos, Atreus, Freya, Brok, Sindri, Tyr, Angrboda, Thor, and Thrúd. There’s also the option to hide characters from a photo to create that perfect Nordic landscape scene.

Then there are the more traditional settings, such as depth of field, focus, film grain, saturation, vignettes, borders, and logos - basically every tool a budding photographer would need to take some awesome snaps within God of War Ragnarok. If you’re new to the world of video game photography and could use a few pointers, Sony Santa Monica has a few tips for newbies on thePlayStation Blog.

And if that wasn’t enough, the new update also brings plenty of fixes, tweaks, and in the case of PS4 players, improved loading times. Thepatch notesare extensive but well worth a look if you want to know exactly what has been fiddled with.
