If you’re looking for extra challenges or content in general, consider going through Vanaheim’s optional sections. This area is loaded with bosses, including Golrab of The Frost and Golrab of The Ashes, two trolls you must awaken in order to fight.Once you’ve triggered their fight, the two will attack you as a team. Fortunately, they’re not very fast or very smart. You should be able to manage these trolls with a few tips and tricks we learned when fighting them. So, let’s break down the fight, so you know what you’re up against.
Defeating The Duo
This is a very straightforward fight, but the danger is that there are two enemies to keep track of. They mostly swing their pillars around and throw dirt. They will occasionally charge at you, which we will cover below. When they swing their pillars, you can go ahead and use your normal block to stop them from damaging you. They don’t have any variety to their attacks, so as long as you know where they both are, you shouldn’t have any trouble taking down this duo.
The Red Ringed Charge
The most dangerous move these creatures have is indicated by a red ring around their torso. When you see this, the Golrab is about to charge you and slam down its pillar. This is a brutal attack if it hits you, but fortunately, these two aren’t very fast.As long as you’re keeping a watchful eye, you should be able to spot the charging Golrab and get out of the way with time to spare. If your timing is good, you may even work in some counterattacks while their pillar is stuck in the ground. Just remember that the red ring means you can’t block, interrupt, or parry the attack. Your only option is to dodge.

Blinded By Dirt
The Golrabs will throw dirt around to blind and confuse you. This is possibly their worst attack because it means you can’t see what the two of them are up to. This is when a Golrab could surprise you with a sudden charge or a swinging pillar. If your vision becomes obscured, try backing away and keeping your distance until things clear up.This way, you won’t accidentally get pummeled because you couldn’t see the Golrabs.
