Developer Coffee Stain has announced thatGoat Simulator 3’s “Mandatory Holiday Update” is now available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. This free update adds plentiful festive items that players can wreak havoc with to ensure “no NPC has a silent night”, including Lucia Crown, Elf Hat, and Lights Machine Gun.
Coffee Stain has also released a trailer to showcase how these new cosmetics will look in the game. In addition to Christmas-themed outfits and items, such as Lucia Crown, Elf Tunic, Elf Shoes, Christmas Sweater, and Menorah Horns, each offering a new appearance for goats, the update introduces Santa Hat, a passive ability that makes snow fall only around the player. Elf Hat, on the other hand, allows the player to throw snowballs to frustrate the other players. Goats can also build a snowman by throwing multiple snowballs on the ground. Moreover, players can use Sack & Sleigh to launch a festive paper to wrap props and NPCs into presents.
The update brings a Christmas-themed menu with Mariah Carey singing in the background. However, due to copyright issues, the All I Want For Christmas is You singer’s voice will no longer be featured on the main menu. Additional updates also include the ability for players to stand on top of each other.
