In her conversation withGrazia Daily, Anderson revealed that this decision, including her beverage business, stemmed from Jean Milburn, her character inSex Education. Through this book, she wants women to get over the fear and shame of embracing this part of humanity.

The letters are extraordinary. They are just a tiny cross-section [of the thousands of letters] we received from all over the world. I want women to be able to carry it around in their handbag and get it out on the train.

Anderson revealed in the introduction of her book that the publisher received letters from women all across the continents and that these senders were from all spectrums of gender and s*xual orientations. The author hoped that the book, which contained women’s fantasies ranging from tender acts of love to wild and carnal fancies, would serve as a platform for everybody. She said that the goal is to spark conversations about – but not limited to – people’s desires in the bedroom.
