MiHoYo published on March 3 a new developer’s discussion, revealing several changes coming with the ver 1.4 update ofGenshin Impact(PC,PS4,PS5, Mobile,SwitchTBA). One of the biggest changes concerns theCondensed Resinsystem. Note that the Q&A was initially only available inJapaneseas we were writing this story, so we translated it below, compiling everything you need to know. However, it is now also available in English.
Q: When I try to start a Domain, the game tells me I have insufficient Resin even though I have pieces of Condensed Resin left.
miHoYo:In Ver 1.4, we will improve the in-game notifications when entering Domains. If you carry Condensed Resin, you will not receive the insufficient Resin warning anymore before starting a Domain.
Q: What’s the current upper limit for Adventure Rank?
miHoYo:Currently, Rank 60 is the upper limit. However, in Ver 1.4, players who reached Adventure Rank 60 will now have the Adventure EXP they gain converted into Mora.
Q: I increased my World Level, but now the game became too difficult. Will it be possible to lower my World Level?
miHoYo:In Ver 1.4, we prepared a solution for this problem. Please check theGenshin ImpactVer 1.4 Sneak Peek stream, coming at a later date, for further details.
Q: It took me 20 minutes in the menu to upgrade a weapon from Level 20 to Level 40. I think upgrading weapons will take me quite a lot of time in the future, could you optimize the process?
miHoYo:In future versions, we will increase the slot limit of materials which can be used when upgrading weapons. We will also improve the weapon upgrade system. Please be patient for now.
Q: It’s annoying how we cannot use the Alchemy Table when in co-op Multiplayer mode.
miHoYo:We’ve been receiving a lot of feedback regarding the Alchemy Table. As such, the development team is currently working on improving it. One improvement will be being able to use the Alchemy Table in multiplayer. In future versions, we will continue making more adjustments to improve quality of life linked to the Alchemy Table.
Q: I want to keep the mails sent by the characters for their birthdays.
miHoYo:We are considering adding a new function to archive in-game mails. Please be patient for now.
Q: I want to be able to instantly restart a Spiral Abyss chamber. Even during battle.
miHoYo:We plan to add some improvements for the Spiral Abyss in Ver 1.4. Please check theGenshin ImpactVer 1.4 preview stream, coming at a later date, for further details.
Q: I want a new function to quickly check the locations of other players in co-op multiplayer.
miHoYo:The development team is already working on a function like this to easily locate players. Please be patient for now.
Q: After Xiao uses his Elemental Burst, does his Elemental Skill still generate Elemental Particles?
miHoYo: After Xiao activates “Bane of All Evil,” using “Lemniscatic Wind Cycling” on enemies will not generate Elemental Particles so long as he dons his yaksha mask. It should generate Elemental Particles under any other circumstances.
This situation is similar to Razor’s, in which his Elemental Skill “Claw and Thunder” will not generate Elemental Particles while his Elemental Burst is active.

Overall, it looks like miHoYo has several quality of life improvements in store, but some will be coming in future versions rather than 1.4.
