More and more businesses are closing their doors and sending their employees home as the COVID-19 virus continues to spread. As people find themselves with far more time on their hands, one avenue of relief they gravitate towards is their video games.

This uptick in peak hours gaming started last week when the first wave of national quarantines went into effect. They went on to add that they are also seeing an increase of 20 percent in overall traffic.
The desire to keep occupied and your mind off of the pandemic is understandable. If you are anything like me, you probably have a number of games in your backlog you’ve been putting off too. It’s a perfect time to get some good game playing in. Plus, single-player games are great social distancing tools!

Looking on the bright side, players really lucked out on the timing of this quarantine with all the amazing titles coming out in the next month. Last week saw the release ofNioh 2, an action title that mixes the difficulty ofDark Souls, the loot ofDiablo, and the combat and set ofNinja Gaidentogether. Should this quarantine last a few more weeks, role-playing fans will have plenty of time to play throughPersona 5 Royal(our review) and the long-awaitedFinal Fantasy VII Remake.Both of those will easily keep you busy for another couple hundred hours or so!
