Food and meals can end up looking so good in various media that you end up craving them, whether it’s the infamous cheeseburger from The Menu or even Remy the Rat’s iconic take on Ratatouille.
Whether pixelated or photo-realistic, that trend’s reached video games as well, because the food sometimes looks so mouth-watering that you’d want to take a bite of it in real life.

10 Best Anime Food You Can Enjoy In Real Life
If you are looking for some good NOMs, you should try some of these real-world anime dishes.
So, as an average foodie who finds themselves in awe of these meal items looking too good to be true, we’re going to discuss games that had the most delicious-looking in-game food of them all.

10Kingdom Hearts 3
Anyone Can cook!
Kingdom Hearts 3
See how I mentioned Remy at the beginning? Well, we’re kicking things off with him via his cameo appearance and mini-game featured inKingdom Hearts 3.
Remy’s Le Grand Bistrot café is in Twilight Town. There, you can cook different meals with Sora under the Little Chef’s tutelage, as long as you can correctly complete the different action sequences for every recipe.

You need to discover five different meal categories with various recipes ineach world. And as much as the dishes are worthy of a Michelin star, the grind to find the ingredients is a pain, but mainly because of Donald’s constant insistence that we pick up every possible item available.
My personal favorites are the entirety of the exotic fish courses and the Warm Banana Soufflé in the Desserts due to my sweet tooth desires. And you never get tired of seeing Sora’s excitement as he nails each meal’s cooking.

9Dragon’s Dogma 2
It’s Actually Real
Dragon’s Dogma 2
It sounds surprising, honestly, butdirector Hideaki Itsuno confirmedthat the cooking animations inDragon’s Dogma 2were all shot in live-action.
Although it doesn’t have a huge variety or emphasis on food, the cooking animation of the meats and how amazing they turn out completely warrants this game’s placement here.

I knewCapcom’sRE Engine was eye-catching (That monstrousResident Evil 2Remake burger…), but the fact that they went two steps ahead to lavishly represent the eight different meat dishes here is just insane.
8Tales Of Arise
Even Rebellious Fighters Need A Hearty Meal
Tales of Arise
TheTales Of serieshasn’t had much mainstream appeal, but the latestTales of Arisedid wonders here. From a shonen anime-esque story to adored characters with some great party banter to flesh them out.
Arise has a particular aspect that allows you to cook meals at the campfire during rests, providing different buffs for a limited time depending on the party member you use.
The small icon for each of the dish’s presentations here is so pleasing to see, even if it’s Shionne’s messy Pancakes that she cooked in that one wholesome sub-quest.
There are over38 of these dishes in the base game, all of whose recipes you discover throughout the game. The ones I’d like to try personally, if I could, would definitely be the Mabo Curry Bun and the Fancy Parfait.
7The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Cheese Wheels And More…
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I wasn’t a huge fan ofSkyrim, not because of the game itself, but because it wasn’t really my cup of tea. However, I respect the cultural gem it’s become in the industry after all these years.
Even more so, the food in this game is easily the most appetizing and picture-perfect food I’ve seen yet in a medieval-themed game.
10 Games You Should Play If You Love Skyrim
There are several amazing games that recapture the magic of Skyrim with their interactive open world and fantastic lore.
It’s not so much about any particular dishes as about how the individual food items look like they’re straight out of an articulate painting by the late Bob Ross.
Whether it’s the simple peasant meals in thetaverns and innsor the mouth-watering desserts like the sweet rolls and apple pies, the models and detailing on them is exquisite.
6Battle Chef Brigade
Iron Chef Battle
Battle Chef Brigade
A blend of different gameplay styles as you play through three different characters, Battle Chef Brigade is possibly the most unique game on this list.
With intuitive side-scroller combat that mixes with heated match-3 puzzle encounters, the game keeps you engaged in the overall structure despite its short length.
But our main focus is on the food, and oh boy, does it nail that in high regard. Each playable character and NPC has their own cooking style and dishes, and the game’s art style further complements that latter.
From Mina Han’s flashy Chinese-inspired dishes to Thrash’s meaty cuisines, including my favorite, his Taka Berry Miguelitos dessert, they all look extremely appetizing to the eye.
5Dave The Diver
A Seafood Restaurant Like No Other
Dave the Diver
Underwater Diving, Restaurant Management, Gardening,Dave The Diverdoes it all here. And fresh off the boat, reels you into its addictive gameplay loop.
Although the game has a pixel art style, don’t let that fool you into thinking that the ton of food items in it look barebones; it’s the opposite, actually.
It has a near-limitless array of seafood dishes and more that you can cook for customers, from assorted kinds of Sushi to exotic ones like the Trout Sea Grapes Ricebowl.
4The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
Saving Hyrule, One Five-Star Meal At A Time
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wilddeserves to be on here for being one of thebest open-world games—well, also because of the delicious-looking food this game had.
Link can cook several dishes in the game as long as he has access to a fire with a pot to cook things from the ingredients, giving him a variable number of hearts and limited stat buffs.
10 Games To Play If You Love Breath Of The Wild
Breath of the Wild is a fantastic release and there are a lot of similar games out there for those itching to play something like it.
Some of the recipes here are so outlandish; evenBinging with Babish has infamously recreated themto perfection.
There are SEVERAL dishes here, and I’d run out of entry space to share my personal picks. So, if you haven’t played the game yet, check them out, and you’ll see how Link is secretly legendary Chef Marco Pierre.
3Monster Hunter: World
A Hunter’s Mighty Appetite
Monster Hunter: World Game
One of the notorious elements of theMonster Hunter serieshas always been filling up your stomach before your big fight against a monster or Elder Dragon.
Monster Hunter: Worldtook upon that element and effortlessly nailed it, as you can order from a variety of dishes, some of whose ingredients you need to unlock through quests at times.
But here’s where the magic happens: the cooking animation of your meal at the canteen from the ‘Felynes’ is easily the most adorable thing in video games.
Whether it’s the Meowscular Chef in Astera or the lovely Grammeowster inthe Iceborne DLC, they both present a charming display of cooking before ultimately presenting our Hunter with a massive portion of amazing food.
2Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth
The World Is Your Oyster
Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth
TheYakuza seriesis my all-time favorite, with its rich storytelling and unique gameplay properties. And the latestLike a Dragon: Infinite Wealthfeaturing Ichiban Kasuga and his crazy-new JRPG antics is no different.
One of the central settings of the game is the tropical island of Hawaii, and though I could’ve chosen food from almost any title, the ones in Infinite Wealth are truly special.
10 Best Games Like Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth
Loved Ichiban Kausga’s latest bizarre adventure? Here are some similar and worthy games I think you’d love just as much.
RGG Studiosreally did their homework because you’re able to find almost every iconic delicacy of Hawaii here, from the alluring shaved ice spots to traditional dishes like Poke and Loco Moco.
The food items on the menu preview look absolutely delicious, making the countless food library options and restaurants in Infinite Wealth feel more enriching than the rest of the Yakuza titles.
1Final Fantasy 15
“That’s It! I’ve Come Up With A New Recipe!”
Final Fantasy 15
There’s nothing better than hearing that phrase repeated by Ignis throughout your playthrough ofFinal Fantasy 15—I mean, HE IS the group’s aptly named maternal figure.
And it’s not just Ignis' scrumptious homemade cuisine that is available; other establishments, from fancy restaurants to diners across Eos, also offer different kinds of grub.
FF15 rightfully deserves the top rank solely because, at its initial release, it had the most delicious-looking in-game food, despite the overall quality of the game itself.
I’ll never forget the close-up shot of each dish on arrival. There are tons of unique dishes here, including my absolute favorites, the comical Stacked Ham Sandwich, Cup Noodles variants, and the Prime Garula Rib.
10 Boss Fights You Literally Cannot Lose
Games like Hollow Knight and Earthworm Jim have boss encounters that you could only lose by turning the game off.
