How on earth has Funk Pop been turned into a game? Is what you’re probably asking yourself. Well, developer 10:10 Games has managed to create a story-driven third-person action game where you get to play as iconic characters from the world of TV, movies, games, and comics. And judging by the trailer, it looks pretty epic.

When GameRant voiced its concerns to 10:10 Games' Co-Founder Arthur Parsons on whether or not the sheer volume of characters in the game would make things feel disjointed, Parsons explained that there is still a main story to the game, despite the plethora of characters available to play as. While players will be able to jump between worlds at will, there’s still a narrative for players to follow.
While Funko Fusion will include some more adult-themed characters, such as Chucky from the popular horror series Child’s Play, it’s still rated T for Teen. As you may see from the reveal trailer, 10:10 Games is careful to not show too much gore and blood. When GameRant was given a sneak peek at a level based on John Carpenter’s The Thing, it noted that it “wasn’t gory or scary” as to still appeal to a younger audience.
Funko Fusion fans will be able to shoot, blast, and melee their way through enemies as they test out each character’s special abilities and moves. To find out more about this gigantic video game mash-up, make sure to check out thefull preview over on GameRant.
