Last month, fledgling publisher Modus Games revealed that they would be working alongside Frozenbyte Game to releaseTrine 4.That sequel is pegged to release in 2019 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, though that last platform was surprising considering the series hadn’t made an appearance on the Switch yet.

Fortunately, the will be changing soon as Frozenbyte revealed their plans to bringTrine Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, andTrine 3: The Artifacts of Powerto the hybrid console. Those plans actually begin today, asTrine Enchanted Editionwas just released on Nintendo Switch for $14.99.

Trine Enchanted Edition, if you couldn’t tell, is the start of Amadeus, Pontius, and Zoya’s adventure, and initially released on PS3 in 2009. This will be the same “enhanced” version of the game with all previously released content that came to PS4 and Wii U. The Nintendo Switch version ofTrine Enchanted Editionstill supports local and online multiplayer, runs at 30fps in 1080p when docked, and at 30fps in 720p when in handheld mode.

As forTrine 2: The Complete StoryandTrine 3: The Artifacts of Power,no release window was given. That being said, Frozenbyte did say to except those two games to come to Nintendo Switch “soon after"Trine Enchanted Edition,so they shouldn’t be too far off and will almost certainly arrive before the release ofTrine 4.

The release of Frozenbyte’s entireTrineseries on Nintendo Switch just adds to the developer’s avid support of the console.Has-Been Heroeswas released on Nintendo Switch shortly after the system’s launch, andNine Parchmentshit the system alongside PC, PS4, and Xbox One last fall. After all theTrinegames release on the hybrid console, the Nintendo Switch will be home to all but four of Frozenbyte’s game.
