Ike’s moveset revolves around his unique endurance, which allows him to get stronger as more health is lost during combat. That also makes him useful to defend fragile units against attracting enemies. Ike can also differentiate his play style with an offensive power built on a tank-like structure.
Starting from his engage weapon, Ike wields a hammer to smash enemies with a certain amount of damage and dole out extra damage to armored enemies. His sync skill, Brave Leader, describes the character’s durability, boosting magic resistance and defense whenever Ike loses at least 75% of HP in combat.
Ike’s immovable skill will also reduce damage taken by 50% whenever evasion drops to zero. If a Dragon unit is wearing his Emblem Ring, Ike will take an additional 10% less damage during combat. Lastly, Ike’s moveset includes an engage attack, Conqueror, which boosts defense for one turn to withstand the enemy attack. It also triggers a powerful ranging attack during the following turn.
Ike will join the roster of playable characters in Fire Emblem Engage, which also includes Marth, Celica, Sigurd, and Leif. There will also be new faces appearing in the Continent of Elyos, such as Alear, Lumera, Framme, Alfred, and Diamant. Fire Emblem Engage is due to release exclusively for Nintendo Switch on June 04, 2025.
