Magic: The Gathering’s Square Enix Crossovers May Go Beyond Final Fantasy
Magic: The Gathering developers have discussed how more Square Enix collabs are on the table.
The most iconic Sabin Suplex glitch involves the Phantom Train boss, as Sabin could literally tear it off its tracks, slam it into the ground for damage, and then it would magically appear back on its tracks. Thismoment is now featuredon a Magic: The Gathering card, as seen on the MagicTCG Reddit.

Sabin Suplexing The Train Is Now In Magic: The Gathering
The Suplex card is ared Sorcerycosting two mana (one red and one of any color), with two effects. The player who casts Sorcery can either exile an artifact or deal three damage to a creature, exiling it if it dies.
Naturally, the Suplex card artwork shows Sabin running at the Phantom Train, hands wide open, getting ready to take the haunted locomotive to Suplex City.

The exile artifact effect of Suplex also ties into Phantom Train’s own Magic: The Gathering card, as it’s ablack artifact – vehicle. This means Suplex can instantly destroy it if it is played.
This isn’t the first Final Fantasy x Magic: The Gathering card to reference in-game events, as theseries’ most iconic deathis also a card effect. It’s part of what makes this crossover so special, especially for the long-time Final Fantasy fans who have seen the series grow in popularity and helped the memes reach the mainstream.
