Jez Corden claimed on the Xbox Two Podcast on YouTube that Fallout 5 has been greenlit, being a safer prospect than therecently canceled MMO. As with all rumors, this information should be taken with a grain of salt, especially as it’s going to be a long time before any game would be revealed to the public.
Fallout 5 Could Be Developed By A New Team
Corden also mentioned that a new team could potentially be making Fallout 5. This is because Bethesda’s teams are working onStarfieldDLC andThe Elder Scrolls 6, with the latter being a huge priority for the company.
If the leaks are correct, then it will likely be years before Fallout 5 is ready to show to the public. Considering Microsoft’s trajectory, it’s a wonder whether there will even be an Xbox Game Studios in the future tocomplete the project.
Fallout 5 would also miss the release of thesecond season of the TV show, though, depending on how long that goes, it could potentially launch alongside a later season. Right now, it’s too early to say, especially with all of the turmoil at Xbox Game Studios in recent times. Still, if the rumors are true, then the return of Fallout is long overdue.
