CCP Games revealed in theblog postthat the first batch of content will be added in the first quarter, starting with the addition of the Direct Enlistment feature on January 19. It allows players to join Factional Warfare events without leaving their corp and alliance mates. Moreover, several smaller updates to the EVE Evolved initiative and the factional warfare system will be rolled out with the upcoming update.
“As we start to look beyond Uprising, we’ll be taking the learnings from Factional Warfare and applying them to other areas of space with one of our focuses being on guiding players into more parts of the sandbox, while smoothing the learning curve for novice pilots so they can become valuable recruits for experienced capsuleers.” CCP teased what changes it considers making to the factional warfare system. “We also want to enable different methods of contribution to the war effort that accommodate more playstyles.”
CCP Games also iterated that the upcoming expansions will have the same caliber as the Uprising, introducing new events, features, and updates to improve the player experience. Furthermore, the Microsoft Excel plug-in will launch in a closed beta trial toward the end of January, allowing Omega capsuleers to log in and directly pull in-game data into Microsoft Excel. Lastly, simplified Chinese support outside Mainland China will be available on the Tranquility server.
