Enotria: The Last Song: How To Respec Your Character

Rewrite the script for your Maskless One.

Thanks to her relentless attacks and incredible sword skills, some might even compare her to the Italian version ofElden Ring’s Malenia.

She’s the type of boss that challenges you to reconsider your arsenal and equipment choices, which makes her more interesting asshe is the boss you have to beat to unlock the ability to respec.

Veltha is found in an ancient chamber in Falesia Magna and has a wide range moves including ranged, melee, and Radiant attacks.

However, with the right equipment, it is possible to beat Veltha and have her by your side at the Theater of the Masks hub, a place that serves as a central hub afterdefeating Zanni, the First Mask.

How To Prepare For Veltha, God Of Strife

Veltha serves as a prime example of the unexpected difficulty spikes inEnotria: The Last Song. Although facing her is optional, you’ll have to endure her ruthless attacks, figure out the strict attack windows, and master the parrying mechanic if you want to respec your character.

What truly sets her apart from many other bosses, though,is her ability to heal herself during the fight.

Despite her chunky health pool and possessing an overpowered self-healing ability, you can make the Veltha fight easier by choosing the right weapon and fine-tuning your build with Perks and Aspects.

Before we delve into the details,it’s highly recommended that you hit at least level 80 before you face Veltha.Unlike with Baldovino, you won’t be able to ‘‘cheese the fight’’ and exploit any tricks to take down the goddess.

Although beating her at lower levels is possible, her massive HP and lightning-fast moves make her a pretty tough boss for those who are below this level.

For those who remain adamant about facing the challenge, though, I highly recommend equipping theGuise of Zannias it adds extra Armonia Amber flasks to your arsenal.

ConsumingArmonia SapandWarrior’s Brewis also quite useful,as the former boosts stamina regeneration, and the latter increases defense briefly. Equipping theUnpolished Gemis also a good call, as it minimally absorbs all kinds of damage.

Veltha can be ridiculously difficult with her unending melee and ranged attacks. While she does leave slight openings for some light attacks, it’s a good idea to go witha at least +7 colossal weapon, like Colossal Greaser orGluttonous Fork.

Despite being a bit sluggish, the Colossal Greaser can dish out amazing damage that can drain Veltha’s colossal health bar quite effectively. It also deals massive Malanno damage over time.

Gluttonous Fork, on the other hand, is a lot faster than its colossal counterpart andinflicts Dizzy on Veltha, which lowers her defenses while increasing her damage output.Honestly, it’s a give and take with this one.

Although you’ll get your hands on some ofthe best ranged Mask Linesafter beating Veltha, you still haveCoastal HarpoonandGolden Dart, which are both great for hurting the goddess from afar.

The former is incredibly helpful asit can even interrupt bosses as they’re gearing up for a special attack. While Golden Dart unlocks right after the tutorial and feels like a weaker Mask Line in the bunch, it’s still a great one to fill Veltha’s Unraveling Meter.

When it comes to loadout, having the right perks can do wonders against Veltha. Here are some of the best perks to equip against arguably one of the hardest bosses in the game:

How To Beat Veltha, God of Strife

to beat Veltha,it is important to maintain a midrange distance and to parry both her close and ranged attacks.Getting too close will make you vulnerable to getting hit, while staying too far away will cause her to switch to ranged attacks.

She often combines her ranged attacks with close-quarter combos, such as shooting arrows or throwing spears after finishing a sword combo. Be always prepared for a follow-up attack when she’s done with her sword swinging.

While she doesn’t telegraph her attacks much, it’s crucial to stick with parrying throughout the fight.

In the first phase, Veltha primarily uses sword combos andinflicts Radiant damage with some attacks.Although it can be challenging to predict those attacks, stick with parrying as much as possible.

Exchanging blows with her won’t be easy as she is incredibly fast and deals a ton of damage at each hit. Instead, parry her combos and ranged attacks and go for light attacks when you see an opening.

Her second phase begins when she jumps into the air to heal herself, triggering a massive explosion.

During the second phase, Veltha relies more on ranged attacks and constantly summons celestial beams in a single direction. Each time she dodges, she also conjures orbs that launch towards you.

These orbs can be used to your advantage asparrying them does huge damage and offers a nice bump in Veltha’s Unraveling Meter, allowing you to stagger her faster.

All of Veltha’s ranged attacks can be easily parried, except for the lightning waves. While those are too fast to counter, you should parry the rest whenever you may.

In this phase, avoiding the celestial beams is relatively easier, but maintaining distance becomes more challenging.Watch the direction of her stomp to figure out the direction of the lightning pillars.

Keep a close watch on Veltha’s dodging movements as well, as each dodge releases a tracking orb that targets you. Unlike spears and arrows though, the orbs move slower, which should give you a better chance to parry them.

While parrying is still most of what you’re going to do during the second phase, you’ll probably be able to land fewer attacks in between her sword combos. That’s why, parrying orbs, spears, and arrows is the safest option here.

It’s also worth noting thatgrenades and explosive flasks won’t be incredibly useful when trying to beat Veltha. As she is quite fast with her attacks, the throwing animation will likely get you hit by her projectiles.

How to Avoid?

Spectral Harpoon

Veltha constantly calls forth a harpoon before and after combos. Dodge if you’re too close but parry if you are far away.

Slashing Flurry

Veltha swings her sword four times in quick succession. Either parry all of her attacks or dodge backwards.

Divine Archery

Veltha will start shooting arrows when you are not close. Try parrying repeatedly to use them to your advantage.

Sword Lunge

When you are far from her, Veltha will gear up for an attack and instantly lunge towards you, closing the distance between you and herself instantly. You can parry this attack, although the attack window is a bit strict.

Sword Dance Into Thrust

Veltha will swing her sword and go for a lethal thrust. All of her attacks are parriable.

Divine Healing

When her health bar is around 65%, Veltha will ascend into the air and regain all of her health, while causing a massive holy explosion in the process. Simply dodge backwards repeatedly to stay far away.

Celestial Beams

After healing herself, Veltha starts sending out celestial beams in a singular direction. Simply walk or dodge sideways to avoid these attacks.

Celestial Orbs

Each time Veltha dodges in the second phase, an orb appears that will shoot directly at you. Try parrying the orb as dodging will leave you vulnerable against the second one.
