Enotria: The Last Songis a game that has come out of nowhere to cement itself as one of the most eye-catching, engaging, and brutal Souls-likes not under theFromSoft umbrella.

It’s a game thatoffers greater flexibility in player experimentationthan most games of its ilk, and you can adopt many different playstyles right from the word ‘go.’

Martyr’s regret in Enotria: The Last Song

This translates to a lot of weapons being available early on in the game, and it can be an arduous task for players to sort through the duds to find out which of these are actually worth using.

So, we thought we would do the hard work and ensure that you guys can focus on using your new weapons to hack, slash, and dismember to your heart’s content. Here are our picks for the best beginner weapons inEnotria: The Last Song.

Decorated Roncone in Enotria The Last Song

10Martyr’s Regret

You Won’t Regret Choosing This One

Weapon Type

Requirements

Elementalist (8)

Trickster (8)

We begin proceedings with a great little longsword that players can find if they explore the Maja Monastery. Martyr’s Regret is a sword that will suit nimble players who like to get in loads of strikes and chip away at their opponent.

Plus, as you do this, you’ll be able to inflict Wicked build-up on your foes, which can be a real boon, depending on who you are up against.

Griso’s Betrayal in Enotria The Last Song

It’s Ardore Power is a little underwhelming considering that this weapon does scale into Ardore, but if you put this to one side, it’s still a valuable Fatuo-powered weapon to have in your arsenal.

9Decorated Roncone

Not Just Decorative

Assassin (8)

I’ve never been one to endorse Polearms of any kind in the past, but considering the sheer power of the Decorated Roncone, it’s a very hard weapon to overlook in the early stages ofEnotria: The Last Song.

This weapon is mainly a Vis elemental weapon, but the Status and Elemental powers here are by-the-by. This weaponis an out-and-out physical damage dealerwith an insane base physical damage stat, great unraveling potential, and great scaling into attack power.

Abandoned Bell in Enotria: The Last Song

It might not be the best option when taking on bosses where you really need to lean into their elemental weakness, but for a build that just screams raw power, this Polearm is an amazing beginner option.

8Griso’s Betrayal

It’ll Never Betray You, Promise

Greatsword

Elementalist (15)

One of the best status effects that you’re able to inflict on your enemies, especially the tanky bosses you coma across, is Sick. This is effectively like Poison, allowing you to deal slow damage over time and make hard fights a waiting game until your enemy drops.

There aren’t a lot of early-game options that facilitate a Sick build, but one that does is Griso’s Betrayal, a Greatsword thatplayers can acquire from the merchant at the Theater of the Masks for a mere 4,000 Memoria.

Antique Shell in Enotria The Last Song

This weapon has solid base stats, great status build-up, and decent unraveling damage too. So consider trading with the merchant to get this one.

7Abandoned Bell

Ding, Dong

Colossal Hammer

Assassin (10)

Trickster (10)

Battlemage (10)

I have to be honest and say that I’m not someone that really adopts Ardore powers into my playstyle. I’ll use them in a pinch, but I prefer to rely on physical damage and bashing enemieswith my bonk stick.

That being said, though, even I can see the value that the Abandoned Bell has to choose to upgrade their Lines in Enotria. This weapon not only offers great Unravelling and physical attack stats, but also offers outstanding Ardore stats too.

Obviously, those who don’t make the most of their four Ardore slots in battle won’t get the full feel of what this weapon is capable of, but if you do use these abilities non-stop, then the Abandoned Bell is the ideal weapon for you.

6Antique Shell

One Shell Of A Weapon

Assassin (16)

Trickster (16)

Status and Elemental effect weapons have their place, but there’s nothing quite like equipping a giant hammer geared toward physical damage and just swinging with careless abandon.

That’s something that the Antique Shell allows the player to do, andwhile you won’t have access to this one until you fight Paguro, the giant crab, when you reach Falesia Magna, it’s a weapon that is worth the wait.

The downside here is that this one has meager Elemental and Status scaling when compared to other options, but if you’re in the market for pure power, the Antique Shell is a perfect option for any brute worth their salt.

5Blessed Rapier

Why, You Look Positively Radiant

In the early game, there are next to no weapons that allow the player to run a Radiant Status build, but one that bucks this trend and gives players a chance to gradually heal over time via radiance build-up is the Blessed Rapier.

In terms of this weapon’s physical attributes and Elemental powers, it all reads a little ‘middle of the road.’ But having access to a Radiant weapon early-on can be very helpful in terms of self-preservation, as Ambrosia will run out eventually, and you’ll need to find other ways to stay alive.

It’s one that won’t suit everybody, but if you do want to run a Blessed Build, this is really the only good option in the early game.

4Cooper’s Hammer

A Barrel of Fun

Bruiser (8)

Donkey Kong isn’t the only one that can cause chaos with barrels, and the brilliance of Cooper’s Hammer proves that. This barrel hammer offers decent unravelling damage but otherwise underwhelms as a physical damage dealer.

10 Best Games Like Black Myth Wukong

Games for those looking for more monkey business

But the good news is that this weapon makes up for its physical shortcomingsby offering great Vis Elemental damage and lots of Dizzy build-up.

This will allow players to lower enemy defenses, and provided you’re good enough to avoid their buffed attacks, you’ll be taking them down quicker than ever.

It does really require the player to embrace this glass cannon, risk-and-reward approach to get the most out of this weapon, but if you’re up to the challenge, Cooper’s Hammer is a great beginner option.

3Great Blade of the Drowned

Sink or Swim

Colossal Greatsword

Elementalist (16)

Bruiser (16)

Next, we have a weapon that players will acquirea stone’s throw from Necropolis in Falesia Magna. This weapon doesn’t really bring it to the table when it comes to physical damage output, but what this weapon does offer is multiple status and element effects.

You see, this weapon scales excellently into elemental power, and has raised stats, primarily on Vis, but also on Gratia and Malanno. Which effectively means, aside from Fatuo and Wicked build-up, this weapon is a complete all-rounder.

You will need to be an ace when it comes to making the most of these elemental effects, so you’ll need to brush up on each of their effects and how you can exploit those, but once you do, you’ll realize that the possibilities with this weapon in your hands are endless.

2Knight’s Monolith

Your Enemies Are InGraveDanger

Our runner-up is a Colossal Hammer that players can acquire quite early into the gameby exploring Maja’s Monastery, and I would urge you to do so, as this weapon is a must-have for any colossal weapon users.

This weapon is a decent physical attacker with equally solid unraveling potential, but it really shineswhen applying Fatuo damage and Wicked build-up.

The only downside to this one is that if an enemy is strong against this status type, the physical attack of this weapon won’t get you out of jail, but if used as a back-up weapon, it can be a really useful way to switch things up.

1Colossal Greaser

Grease The Wheels

For me, by some distance, the best weapon in the early stages of the game has to be the Colossal Greaser. It’s a weaponthat has outstanding physical damage output, good unraveling stats, and serviceable Ardore stats. While also offering multiple status effects and Elemental focuses.

Granted, these aren’t huge buffs to Fatuo and Gratia, but some is better than none. But the star of the show here isundoubtedly the Sick build-up this weapon boasts, allowing you to inflict slow, consistent damage on any enemy with ease.

It scales beautifully into Attack, Status, and Elemental, and still scales into Ardore enough that those skills aren’t completely useless. So, overall, the Colossal Greaser wins by a landslide.
