WhileElden Ring: Nightreignhas no release date other than sometime in 2025, developer FromSoftware is already prepared to test it with the game’s first Network Test set for next month.
The announcement was made on the official Bandai Namco EUwebsitewhere players can now register for a chance to participate in the network test.

Elden Ring: Nightreign Registrations For Network Test Now Open
Registrations will start on January 10, with no end date. There’s also no date when the test will begin or what’ll be in it. The only info shared by Bandai Namco states, “The network test is a preliminary verification test in which the selected testers play a portion of the game prior to the full game launch.”
It also mentions, “Various technical verifications of online systems will be examined by conducting large-scale network load tests,” which means this is meant to test the servers more than anything else.
From what Bandai Namco has revealed so far, Elden Ring: Nightreign is a standalone title within the Elden Ring universe, and compared to multi-award-winning action-RPG, Nightreign will feature three-player co-op, thoughit won’t be a live service gameper the developers.

While the developer can’t go into specifics, they’re working on a variety of games.
Announced at last year’s The Game Awards, Elden Ring: Nightreign caught everybody by surprise with the reveal. While the game aims to be multiplayer-focused (though you can play solo,just not as a duo), it won’tfeature cross-platform playfor some reason.
Hopefully, FromSoftware manages to bridge the Elden Ring franchise from a Souls-like RPG to what Nightreign seems to be, which is a boss hunt game that’s looking for co-op as one of its main draws. There is one feature in Elden Ring that we know for a fact won’t be in Nightreign, and that’s the ability to leave messages for other players in the game’s world.
