We are quickly approaching the most wonderful time of the year for gamers worldwide. The Electronic Entertainment Expo (aka E3) will have its 25th show at the Los Angeles Convention Center this year showcasing the latest and greatest games the next few years will have to offer; most of which will be shown at the press conferences prior to the show floor opening.
So, you may be wondering how you may catch all of these hot announcements. Well, here is a handy dandy list of every press conference, along with their starting times and announcements you can expect. All times listed will be in Pacific Time. You’ll be able to stream the majority of the shows on your favorite streaming services, like Twitch, Mixer, and YouTube.
EA Play Livestreams
Date and starting times:EA will be kicking off the E3 2019 festivities onSaturday, June 8with a number of livestreams featuring a slate of upcoming releases and updates on games already available. Here is the full schedule:
What to expect:I mean, it’s kind of laid out for you right there. Everything scheduled is what you can expect. Now, is there room for surprises? Absolutely! It is E3 after all. But I don’t think we’ll be seeingSkate 4this year. I know, I’m just as disappointed as you.
Nintendo 2019 World Championship Tournaments
Date and starting times:You know what the best palette cleanser is for two and a half hours of EA announcements? Esports, baby! OnSaturday, June 8, Nintendo is holding its 2019 World Championship Tournaments at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles. Three games will be showcased, including the upcomingSuper Mario Maker 2. Here is the full schedule:
What to expect:Honestly, I don’t think anything will be announced since a Nintendo Direct is scheduled a few days later. However, if you’re interested in seeing gameplay forSuper Mario Maker 2, this would be the time to do so. Who knows, maybe they’ll have a small tease that will lead into Tuesday’s Direct.
Xbox E3 2019 Briefing
Date and starting time:Sunday, June 9 at 1:00 pm
What to expect:This isn’t just the biggest show of the week. With the absence of PlayStation, this has the potential to be one of Microsoft’s biggest E3 conferences of all time. With rumors that have been going around for a while now, especially in regards to Xbox’s next-gen plans, this seems to be the “must watch” show of E3 this year.
There have been a lot of “hot” titles confirmed for Xbox’s showcase, includingHalo Infinite,Gears of War 5, andCyberpunk 2077. Phil Spencer also mentioned onTwitterthat there will be “more first party games than we’ve ever had in a show"with 14 Xbox Game Studios games. What those games will be is unknown, but if you put into account all of the studios they acquired (which was announced at last year’s E3), you can probably make some educated guesses.
Bethesda E3 Showcase
Date and starting time:Sunday, June 9 at 5:30 pm
What to expect:Although Andrew W.K. (probably) won’t be making an appearance, that doesn’t mean Bethesda won’t have a killer show. I do think a lot of the big games Bethesda has in store have already been announced and confirmed for E3, namelyDOOM Eternal.
Other than that, we can probably expect announcements forThe Elder Scrolls Online,Rage 2DLC, andWolfenstein: Youngblood. I would be pretty shocked if we sawStarfieldfootage, but stranger things have happened. Lastly, an announcement regarding Arkane Studios' next project would be pretty great.
Devolver Digital Press Conference
Date and starting time:Sunday, June 9 at 7:00 pm
What to expect:you may probably expect some pretty wild stuff. Not in terms of announcements, but in its presentation. Just watch Devolver Digital’s conference last year. You’ll understand what I mean.
PC Gaming Show
Date and starting time:Monday, June 10 at 10:00 am
What to expect:The name speaks for itself. This is a show dedicated to all the PC gamers out there. We’ll probably see what’s in store on the next driver update…
On a real level, a few of the publishers and developers that will be in attendance have been announced, including Chucklefish, Annapurna Interactive, Coffee Stain Studios, and Epic Games. Personally, with Paradox Interactive being one of the few presenters announced, I hope we see Romero Games' next title.
Limited Run Games
Date and starting time:Monday, June 10 at 12:00 pm
What to expect:Limited Run is certainly going to showcase its upcoming slate of physical releases, both standard and collector’s editions. However, specifics have yet to be revealed. But, if you still playthat dead handheld known as the PS Vita, it is confirmed that Limited Run will have some goodies for you.
Date and starting time:Monday, June 10 at 1:00 pm
What to expect:In recent memory, Ubisoft has had some solid press conferences filled with fun moments and interesting reveals. This year, it has been confirmed that the already-revealedGhost Recon: Breakpointand the recently-leakedWatch Dogs Legionwill have a presence at the show. I think it’s also safe to say the next iteration ofJust Dancewill have some wild dance number.
There was aroller derby game that was also recently leaked. If true, that will have some sort of presence at the show. Also a “Ubisoft Pass,” which can be described as a subscription service akin to EA Access, was also leaked. That also may be shown including the first slate of games available through the service.
I can also tell you what not to expect. It was recently announced thatBeyond Good and Evil 2will not be at the show this year.
Kinda Funny Games Showcase
Date and starting time:Monday, June 10 at 4:30 pm
What to expect:If you’re a fan of indie games, this is the show to watch. Kinda Funny has given a stage to smaller studios, giving indie devs a show where they won’t get buried by giant triple-A titles. Previous Kinda Funny Games Showcases have made announcements for larger games likeJudgment, but this is the show where indie games can thrive.
Square Enix
Date and starting time:Monday, June 10 at 6:00 pm
What to expect:I’ve got two words and a number for you:Final Fantasy 7.Revealed on PlayStation’s most recent State of Play video, theFinal Fantasy 7remake will definitely be at the show. Hopefully, we will get some actual details, as well as a release date for the game (or at least the first part of it).
It was also announced that we will finally get details on Crystal Dynamic’sMarvel’s Avengers. The hype levels for this game are high as we haven’t seen or heard anything about it sincethat first teaser in 2017. IfFinal Fantasy 7wasn’t a good enough reason to watch this show, this will be.
Nintendo Direct
Date and starting time:Tuesday, June 11 at 9:00 am
What to expect:With Nintendo focusing on this year’s slate of games, there are a few games we can expect to be making an appearance. It has already been confirmed thatLuigi’s Mansion 3,Pokemon Sword&Shield,TheLegend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, andMarvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Orderwill have a presence on the show floor, so we will probably see details on those games in the Direct. If we don’t get any teases or reveals at the tournament, we’ll surely seeSuper Mario Maker 2as well.
Although it isn’t confirmed, I think we can expect updates on current titles likeSplatoon 2andSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate. In regards to the latter, this would be a pretty good time to reveal new characters. It’s time to get the summoning circle out and pray for my Lord and savior Doomguy to make an appearance.
The only “mystery” here is the newAnimal Crossingthat is slated for this year. Nothing is really known about it, and this could be the big announcement for the Direct. However, I think Nintendo has something bigger in store.
