D&D has several official campaign worlds in its multiverse, the most famous of which is the Forgotten Realms, where the Baldur’s Gate andNeverwinter Nights franchisesare set. This fantasy world has been the subject of numerous books and video games, as well as the movie Honour Among Thieves.

The D&D TV Show Is Set In The Forgotten Realms
The current title of the show is The Forgotten Realms, cementing it as being set in themythical land of Faerun. There is currently no other word regarding the show’s storyline or characters.
The creative minds behind the show include Shawn Levy (Stranger Things) and Drew Crevello. Supposedly, Crevello wrote the pilot and will act as Showrunner, as well as being the Executive Producer alongside Levy.

While Honour Among Thieves might not have been the box office smash that Paramount and Hasbro were hoping for, there is still a ton of potential for the D&D license. This isn’t the only live-action project greenlit by Hasbro recently, asMagic: The Gatheringis also being turned into amovie and TV showfranchise. It seems Hasbro is expanding its games into new territories.
The question now is what The Forgotten Realms will be about, as there’s so much content in the setting that can be mined for ideas. Whatever the case, someone is probably ironing a white white for Neil Newbon to wear, whenthe beloved Astarioninevitably gets a live-action cameo.
