This Vocation can be unlocked fairly early into the game after arriving in Vernworth. Sorcerers have a wide range of spells to call on, but unlike Mages, they have a heavier focus on damage-focused spells. While unlocked Augments can be used on any Vocation, those of the Sorcerer give bonuses that heavily favor those who continue to play that Vocation.

5Constancy
Get Knocked Down Less
Sorcerers are meant for ranged combat where they are far from any enemies. Their cloth armor doesn’t do much in terms of negating damage or preventing knockdown, which is where this Augment comes in.
Constancy increases the Sorcerer’s Knockdown Resistance, making them harder to knock down even when getting hit by strong enemies. While this is a helpful Augment, the party should be built to keep enemies away from the Sorcerer and to keep them from being knocked down.
Keep Items Ripe For Longer
Stasis keeps items fresh for longer in the player’s inventory. Manyfood itemsthat are useful for healing go bad over time and often fairly quickly. With this Augment, players will have more time to use those items before they go bad.
This is one of the few non-combat Augments and will constantly be used every second a perishable item is in the player’s inventory. While overall useful, this Augment won’t be as useful for those who properly utilize their perishable items.

Higher Elemental Weakness Damage
Most enemies have an elemental weakness that results in them taking more damage from that element. As Sorcerers have access to a spell of every element, they can adapt and utilize different spells to verify they are always hitting an enemy’s weakness and doing as much damage as possible.

The only downside is that it’s not always clear what an enemy’s elemental weakness is, and many players will go through many fights, if not large portions of the game, without factoring in or noticing elemental weaknesses. For those who do take this into account and always target those weaknesses, this Augement will give the Sorcerer a large boost in damage.
Catch Enemies On Fire Easier
Every element has a chance of inflicting an ailment on an enemy, such as leaving them burning or freezing them. This doesn’t happen every time, and many spells will need to be used multiple times before these useful effects happen.
With Asperity, these debilitations will happen more often and can often be relied upon in battle. Freezing enemies with ice spells will leave them immobile, whereas the rest of the party can focus purely on dealing damage for a few seconds until the enemy thaws out. Burning can help constantly damage an enemy and is a worthwhile effect to keep active to maximize damage against large enemies.
Higher Spell Damage
While not clearly stated, Sagacity increases the character’s Magick stat, making them deal more damage with spells. As a Sorcerer focuses purely on using spells to deal large amounts of damage, this Augment takes what a sorcerer does best and makes them do it even better.
As it is a combat-focused Augment, this boost positively affects every spell the Sorcerer makes. Of all the Sorcerer Augments, this one has the largest overall effect on the character, while the bonus is a noticeable increase in damage across the board. Adding this withenhanced gearcan make a Sorcerer deal incredible amounts of damage.
