In the many shows of theDragon Ballfranchise, transformations have been of steady incline, with many of the Z fighters achieving higher forms of power. Vegeta, an old enemy of Goku and now the show’s second main character, has been right next to his powerful rival as they’d reach forms that multiplied their strength.

They even have gone as far as to achieve the power of gods. With so many forms, some have grown to just be too weak compared to the other forms that Vegeta has achieved, so the stronger ones are more useful as he battles opponents whose power can destroy universes.
12Great Ape
Just like Goku, whom Vegeta refers to as Kakarot, Vegeta’s first transformation was the Great Ape form, or Oozaru. According to Saiyan lore, once a Saiyan (who has their tail intact) encounters a full moon, they transform into the monstrous Great Ape.
This form multiplies Vegeta’s power so much, that Goku couldn’t defeat Vegeta while he was in this form. He was able to fight Krillin, Goku, and Gohan all at once and give them trouble, almost completely winning against Goku himself. Though, this scary form is powerful, it is now Vegeta’s weakest.
11Super Saiyan
After Goku achieved the very first Super Saiyan form, Vegeta underwent heavy training, dedicated to surpassing his rival. Finally, when the Z fighters encounter trouble from a couple of androids, Vegeta shows up as Goku wasn’t able to fight.
As he makes his introduction, he shows off his achievement of becoming a Super Saiyan. This form enhances all of Vegeta’s combat aspects while turning his hair a signature yellow. He makes quick work of the androids as the rest of the Z fighters watch in awe.
10Super Vegeta
Vegeta and his son, Trunks, spent lots of time training mercilessly in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber in order to prepare for the fight with Cell. During their time training, the two achieved a form that ascended to that of a Super Saiyan.

In a way, this form was an unperfected version of Super Saiyan 2, but its power remained higher than that of a regular Super Saiyan. This form caused Vegeta to appear bulkier, which may have hindered his speed, but his power was incredible.
9Super Saiyan 2
Although Dragon Ball Z never explicitly used Vegeta’s Super Saiyan 2 without the enhancement of other powers, Vegeta is still known to have achieved the form after Gohan first showcased it back in the Cell saga, during the 7-year time-skip to the Buu saga.
Super Saiyan 2 stands to be a higher power multiplier than the base Super Saiyan, and because of that, this form is stronger than even Super Vegeta (as it’s basically the perfected form of Super Vegeta). This form is used to support Vegeta’s next form…
8Majin Vegeta
During the Buu Saga, Vegeta was taken over by Babidi’s Majin powers, turning him into a diabolical Vegeta. He remains Vegeta, but the evil in his heart is unleashed, causing him to unlock the complete potential of his power, and using the Super Saiyan 2 form to its fullest.
Vegeta proved this form’s strength as he pushed against Goku, and after finding the good in his heart again, he was even able to fight back against Buu. His attack on Buu was the strongest at the time, and had the most hope of defeating the villainous Majin Buu.
7Super Saiyan 3
This form is another that wasn’t used in the canonical shows of the Dragon Ball franchise, but it is known that Vegeta has unlocked this power. In Dragon Ball Z, fans could assume that Vegeta never achieved the form like Goku did, but in Super, it’s heavily implied that he has, and it’sutilized in some video games.
There just isn’t a use for Vegeta to turn to this form since he has others to use that are stronger. If he were to use Super Saiyan 3 though, his hair would grow to reach his calves, and his power would be multiplied even higher than Super Saiyan 2.
6Enraged Super Vegeta 2
One would assume that the Super Saiyan 2 form would be of lesser power than the Super Saiyan 3 form, but that’s where Vegeta proves that audience wrong. During Dragon Ball Super, The God of Destruction, Beerus, slaps Vegeta’s wife, Bulma, across a cruise ship.

The romantic Vegetathen enrages into a Super Saiyan 2 form, his eyes going blank with power. He tanks attacks from the god, and even draws blood. He’s shown fighting Beerus, pushing him back towards the ground. The power of Vegeta’s rage forced Super Saiyan 2 to go further than that of Super Saiyan 3.
5Super Saiyan 4
Although this form isn’t a canonical form, the Dragon Ball GT show gave fans one of the coolest transformations to exist in the Dragon Ball universe: Super Saiyan 4. After harnessing the power of the Oozaru form and using the power of a Super Saiyan, Vegeta is able to transform into Super Saiyan 4, giving him a unique look.
This form was the strongest of its time, and he was able to help fight back against the likes of Omega Shenron. Some could even argue that this form would be stronger than his god form, though it lacks divine ki.
4Super Saiyan God
As usual, Vegeta achieves yet another form after Goku does, and Super Saiyan God is no stranger to that continuous concept. InDragon Ball Super Broly, Vegeta gives the audience a fantastic revelation of his Super Saiyan God form.
While using this divine energy, Vegeta uncommonly seems calm while fighting, and is able to fight back against Broly. The Super Saiyan God form remains stronger than any other form before using the powers of divinity, because it’s that divine ki that makes it so powerfully unique.
3Super Saiyan Blue
For one of the first times, Vegeta was actually shown to have achieved a transformation near the same time as his rival, which in Dragon Ball Super Resurrection F, was revealed to be the Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan form, or also referred to as Super Saiyan Blue.
In this form, Vegeta gave Frieza a revengeful beat down, and Frieza couldn’t even fight back, even in his Golden form, Frieza still had trouble against the blue transformation. This form was a simple combination of Super Saiyan and divine energy, skyrocketing its power above Super Saiyan God.
