WWE and 2K Sports have officially unveiledWWE 2K25as the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC versions of the yearly wrestling release will go on sale on March 14. However, fans can avail themselves of early access if the Bloodline or Deadman Editions of the game are pre-ordered.

Speaking of The Bloodline, during a Raw segment, Roman Reigns was announced as the cover star for this year’s release. Not only that, the upcoming game will feature an overhauled Focus Mode as well. Despite all of these features, fans this time don’t seem to be pretty supportive of the upcoming wrestling simulation.
5 things that made fans furious aboutWWE 2K25
Games likeEA Sports FC,WWE 2K, and more such titles need to be distinctive each year if they want to succeed in their yearly releases. However, it appears that2K and Visual Concepts have different ideas. On Reddit, a devotedWWE 2Kfan recently expressed their annoyance and urged users to dump this year’s game so that the creators can take a hard lesson from it.
It’s nothing new howsome people continue to play a game despite their displeasurewith every part of it. The fan has requested the community to refrain from doing so this time. Butwhy are the fans so upset over the upcoming game? Here are the five explanations.

Online server is a nightmare inWWE 2K
It’s normal for a video game to occasionally have problems connecting to the internet. However, 2K appears to go one step further, as it hasn’t taken any action to address the issue, despite apparently having bad servers since WWE 2K23.
As a result, players are unable to join an online match, are disconnected in the middle of a match, and are even removed from the Community Creations while trying to download something. It is surprising that the team hasn’t resolved this yet because these problems are also present in other 2K games, such as theNBAseries.

Locking new content behind paywalls
Even while this practice has existed since 2K took over the series, it seems a little unfair to have wrestlers like CM Punk, Jade Cargill, and Diamond Dallas Page behind a paywall. This is evident when you start seeing DLCs that solely include McAfee and his friends, like the Pat McAfee pack, which doesn’t include any actual wrestlers. So, it’s high time 2K should stop locking these primary content behind paywalls.
Things like the WrestleMania 40 arena, which could have been included in the game for free but is instead locked behind the 40 Years of WrestleMania pack, make this look even worse. Imagine a world in which you can purchase a game for $60–$70 and not need to spend an additional $20–$40 to get the full experience.

WWE 2K games feature poor animations all around
TheWWE 2Kgames’ animations are utterly awful. Compared to superstars who do hit the middle rope, smaller wrestlers like Rey Mysterio and Roxanne Perez will hit it and bounce off, giving them a much smaller window to react with a grapple or strike.

Additionally, a lot of the wrestlers in the game lack precise movesets. For instance, 2K keeps animating the Riptide in the same manner even though Rhea Ripley has stated that she dislikes landing on his ass, so she doesn’t perform it the same way she does on screen. On the 2K Community Creations page, names like iBudsMovesets and WolfpacSets have been instrumental in correcting these erroneous movesets.
MyFaction economy’s inflation doesn’t know any barrier
MyFaction has been the disliked mode in the 2K series since its debut inWWE 2K22, but since it generates revenue, it will continue to be included and given more attention than other modes.
Even for players who do like MyFaction, this year has been particularly difficult. The prices of everything in the store are ridiculously high, and the payouts from Live Events, Weekly Towers, and Faction Wars are the lowest they have ever been.

There are no concerns about the Universe mode
Many players continue to purchase the games and play them long after they have finished other modes, such as MyRise and Showcase, because of Universe mode. The mode has gotten very few updates since 2K took over the series, and the team never seems to be interested in it.
5 WWE Superstars Whose Ratings in WWE 2K24 Are Unfair
The worst attempt at it has been made byWWE2K24. Many players have dropped the mode for the first time due to bugs that have plagued it constantly. Since this mode has devolved into a shell of its former self, 2K should consider what fans are saying online.
We hope 2K and Visual Concepts take serious note of these issues and fix them in the upcoming game at utmost priority. But if they fail to do so, then thisWWE 2K25is going to suffer a lot, and these two companies will be responsible for their fates.
