There are very few media franchises that have grown as big as theStar Warsfranchise by George Lucas. The franchise is getting ready for a new manga series calledStar Wars: Path of the Lightsaber,which was announced recently. The manga feels like the last attempt by the franchise to save theStar Warsuniverse and bring back the original retention of the media franchise.

The slow fall of theStar Warsfranchise
As mentioned above, theStar Warsfranchise is one of the greatest entertainment universes in the world. It has released some of the biggest blockbuster hit movies, enticing TV shows, wildly popular merchandise, thrilling games, and whatnot. However, in doing so, the franchise has become too complicated to keep up with, and thusit has affected the production.

There have been multiple blames about the new projects milking the narratives and storyboards of the past successes and still not being able to grasp the numbers. Not only that, the franchise is getting too complex with multiple projects that seemingly feel like they don’t have any chronological order, thus confusing the fans even more.
While the name and reputation ofStar Warsstill remain, it has failed to live up to the expectations of fans and has essentially become disappointing in many ways. While there are still a few projects in the future, considering the reception of the past, fans don’t have much hope for them.

The manga is evidently calledStar Wars: Path of the Lightsaber,and according to rumors, the story of the manga is set betweenThe Last JediandThe Rise of Skywalker.
It is written and illustrated by Kenny Ruiz, and it follows the story of Nioka, a child who dreams of becoming a Jedi because of her inspiration, Luke Skywalker. She even succeeds in finding the ancient Jedi weapon, the lightsaber, but it brings a lot of trouble for the little kid as she learns how to properly use it. While the story sounds interesting, it still does not have a release date.
