Following the reveal ofdemon protagonist Fuji a few days ago, Japanese developerNippon Ichi Softwarehasreleased another character trailerfor the upcoming SRPG Disgaea 7, this time shining the spotlight upon its heroine, Piririka. This is the second character trailer Nippon Ichi Software has revealed ahead of the game’s January 26 release date.
The new trailer introduces the snaggletoothed catgirl Piririka, a devout fangirl and wealthy CEO of a successful fashion company. Much like the game’s protagonist Fuji, Piririka is a brand new addition to theDisgaeasaga, with Disgaea 7 to be her first outing. Raised in the Wahei Netherworld, Piririka has a heart of gold, an unflinching will, and a dedicated obsession for the Bushido culture of the Hinomoto Netherworld.

When at last she travels to the Hinomoto Netherworld herself, however, Piririka is immediately struck with culture shock, her sanitized, hyper-idealized understanding of Bushido so different from the reality of the culture. It doesn’t help that Hinomoto is sinking into a deeply dire state, its pillars and foundations having fallen apart under the villainous Oedo Shogunate.
Eager to free the Hinomoto Netherworld from the Shogunate and restore the glory it lost, Piririka teams up with the warrior demon Fuji. Together, they embark on a perilous quest through the Netherworlds in search of the Seven Weapons of Origin, which will give them the strength they need in order to topple the Shogunate.
Piririka’s character design is by Takehito Harada and appears to be inspired by seifuku and gyaru fashion styles. Theofficial Disgaea 7 websitedescribes Piririka as “naive” and “spontaneous,” with a heart that believes unflinchingly in the innate goodness of others. She will be voiced in Disgaea 7 by Japanese voice actress Hiyori Nitta, who has previously lent her talent to Prinz Heinrich ofAzur Laneand LWMMG in Girls' Frontline.
As well as the character trailer introducing Piririka, Nippon Ichi Software has also released a free downloadable demo for Disgaea 7 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PS5. The game will launch on these consoles in Japan on January 26 this year. It remains unknown whether the game will be released internationally. With Piririka’s trailer having been published, the next in the series of character trailers is set to feature Wey-yasu, the conceited, slovenly Shogun of the Oedo Shogunate.
