After the mess that wasDiablo Immortal’sunveiling this past month at BlizzCon 2018, the coreDiabloteam at Blizzard has tried to assure fans that the mobile-only title isn’t the only project associated with the franchise that is in the pipeline.
Recently, over on the official Blizzard forums, theDiablodevs posted a new statement that gave us a bit more insight into just what they’re working on, and when we might learn more about each. According to the statement, there are currently multipleDiabloprojects that are being worked on that the team at Blizzard says they plan to reveal “over the course of the coming year.”
The full statement as posted on the forum thread said the following:
“We continue to read feedback and our internal discussions are ongoing. We have many plans forDiabloacross multiple projects which we’ll be revealing over the course of the coming year. We are eager to share more about all of our projects, but some will have to wait as we prefer to show you, rather than tell you, about them. It’s going to take some time as we strive to meet your expectations, but now, more than ever, we are committed to deliveringDiabloexperiences the community can be proud of.”
TheDiablodevelopment team has beenup front for awhile now about the fact that there are several different games in developmentassociated to theDiabloseries, but what we didn’t know before this statement was when we might see them all revealed. While many initially thought that 2018 would be the “year ofDiablo” it seems that 2019 is lining up to give fans all they’ve been asking for.
Even thoughDiablo Immortaland it’s announcement was disappointing to many, it seems like you can rest easy knowing that moreDiablois definitely coming soon.Diablo 4seems like all but a certainty at this point, we’ll just have to wait for Blizzard to finally announce it properly.
