How To Unlock Bounties

The Bounty system in Diablo 4 is governed by The Tree of Whispers. After completing the main story of the game, players will have the option to visit The Tree again in a Priority Quest. Speaking with the tree will trigger a dialogue sequence, during which the player’s character agrees to hunt down those who owe the tree in return for favors.

Once this dialogue sequence is complete, there will be a quest objective to collectWhispers of the Deadin Caldeum.Complete red and pink objectives on the map in Caldeumuntil the Grim Favor bar is full to complete the objective. At this time, you will be able to return to the tree and select your first reward. This completes the quest and unlocks Bounties all over Sanctuary.

How To Earn Grim Favors

To earn Grim Favors, players will have tocomplete several Bounties, called Whispers of the Dead. These are found on the map marked in various shades of red. Bounties spawn all over Sanctuary, butmore seem to spawn in the Fields of Desecration Zones and Caldeum.

Events That Earn Grim Favor Progress

While each rewards differing amounts ofprogress toward a cache, they are scaled based on the time required to complete them. The result is that the best ones to complete will usually depend on personal preference rather than efficiency. Each Whisper collected yields experience, gold, and progress on the Grim Favor bar, but the real reward is when the bar is full, at which point players will need to return to the tree.

How Often Do Bounties Appear?

Whispers of the Dead marked on the world mapchange every fifty minutes, and you can claim up toone Grim Favor per day. This makes them a great option for casual and hardcore players alike, as they can be completed flexibly while doing other things.

How Many Bounties Per Grim Favor?

to collect aGrim Favor, you will need tocollect ten Whispers of the Dead. Different marked events award different amounts based on difficulty.Darker red marks will yield more progressthan their lighter counterparts, with themaximum being three.
