Destiny 2: LightfallintroducedNeomunaas a new location, which now hosts the Root of Nightmares raid. The beginning of the raid might be a little confusing as you find yourself inside a huge pyramid, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to get you to the first encounter.

The path to the first encounter is indeed complicated, but it doesn’t require you to solve any puzzles. Here, we will guide you through the pyramid step by step to get you to the first encounter, which is called Cataclysm.
The Path To Reach The First Encounter
Once you spawn inside thepyramid, go ahead straight, and then you will reach an edge. Now, you need to turn left, where you will spot a few ship rocks on top of thick plants. Jump beyond that, and you will now find yourself on a new path.
Follow the path straight and kill the enemies in your way until you reach anobelisk-like structure. Stand next to the obelisk and look ahead; you should go straight until you reach the edge of the platform (marked by A on the image). Now, look down, there is a platform on your left (B) and one farther on your right (C) which looks black due to shadows. That is your destination. Once you jump down, continue the way forward until you see a door on your left (D).Go inside and kill the enemies; if you look to your right, you should be able to see a bowl on the ground with a green liquid inside it. It is a collectible item, so ensure to grab it.
Now, look to your left, and you should be able to spot a widetunnel-like entrance. Go inside, kill the enemies, and go up the stairs to your right. Once you are upstairs, go ahead a bit, and you should see an entrance on your right. Go inside, turn right, and then you should see a bright exit on the left.
There will be a platform ahead. Go upstairs and turn left, where you will spot another wide bright exit. Once you go out, you will see huge plants branching from the platform. Follow the path that the plant leads, and eventually, you will find yourself next to the rallybanner (G).
If you place the rally banner and shoot at the white floating core ahead, the first encounter will begin.
