Next to Terminal Overload Keys, the Polymorphic Shellcode is also another important requirement in Neomuna that opens up the entry to theweekly Partition missionfor players. Moreover, obtaining this shellcode is a part of Nimbus' weekly bounty.
Polymorphic Shellcode Requirements & How To Obtain It
In order to obtain this key, you will need to complete a full activity of Terminal Overload, whichspawns in a different region of Neomuna every day. Once you successfully finish the activity, you will be able to obtain one Polymorphic Shellcode from the chest that requires aTerminal Overload Keyto open. So, before beginning the activity, make sure that you have at least one Terminal Overload Key in your inventory for opening the chest.
Also, you need to acquire the weekly bounty of Nimbus before beginning the Terminal Overload activity. You can only have one Polymorphic Shellcode each week, which is why the Partition mission that appears in the weekly region of the Vex Incursion Zone is playable only once per week. If you spend your Polymorphic Shellcode on the Partition mission without acquiring the Nimbus' weekly bounty, it will be locked out, which means you will miss the bounty for this week. The deadline for finishing the bounty is the weekly reset time (5 pm UTC) each Tuesday.
Aside from opening the Partition, Polymorphic Shellcode doesn’t have any other usage in the game. So, there is no point in storing it for the next week. In case you are about to start the Partition activity, ensure to sort out your loadout carefully, as you will faceBarrier Championsas well asOverload Championsduring the mission. You can grab Sidearm or Pulse Rifle for stunning Barrier Champions, while Overload Champions can only be stunned by SMGs, Auto Rifles, or Bows. Before these weapons become effective against those enemies, you need to unlock the corresponding mods through theSeasonal Artifactin your loadout.
