Strand was the latest and the second Darkness subclass that was added to Destiny 2 with the launch ofLightfallandSeason of Defiance. Strand initially launched with two Aspects for every class with one releasing in Season of the Deep and one inSeason of the Witch.

Destiny 2 Season Of The Witch: Crota’s End Raid Guide

Here’s a guide to Crota’s End, the newest raid in Destiny 2’s Season of the Witch.

Each class has four Aspects as well as acollection of Fragments. The Aspects of Warlocks focus on the creation of Threadlings, Aspects of Hunters mostly focus on Grapple, whereas Aspects of Titans focus on Melee and Suspend.

12Weaver’s Call

Weaver’s Call improves the functionality of Warlock’s Rift. It works by “Cast your rift to weave three Threadlings and deploy any Threadlings you have perched.” If you already have 5 Threadlings perched, you will release 8 Threadlings on the battlefield.

Threadlings received a substantial buff with the launch ofSeason of the Witch, making them extremely effective in crowd control. Weaver’s Call is a good Aspect if you simply want to focus on generating Threadlings.

11Flechette Storm

Flechette Storm is an Aspect for the Titans that improves the default melee ability. It states “While sliding, activate your charged melee ability energy to leap in the air, knocking nearby targets away and dealing damage.”

While you are airborne, you can activate your charged melee again to launch a cluster of damaging Unraveling projectiles. Repeatedly activating melee will chain additional throws. The basic melee of Strand Titans is so good on its own that you do not have much use for this Aspect.

10Threaded Specter

Threaded Specter is an Aspect for Hunters that was released in Season of the Deep. It works as “Activating your class ability leaves behind a decoy woven from Strand matter that draws the attention of nearby combatants.”

Destiny 2 Season of the Witch: Best Hunter Builds

Thanks to the powerful Seasonal mods, you’ll want to try these Hunter Builds in Destiny 2’s Season of the Witch.

The decoy after taking damage or when combatants approach, detonates dealing damage and releasing Threadlings that seek out and attack nearby foes. Threaded Specter has great synergy with the Exotic The Bombardiers, allowing Threaded Specter to one-shot people in PvP.

9The Wanderer

The Wanderer is an Aspect of Warlocks that focuses on Suspend. It states “Tangles you throw attach to targets and detonate into a suspending burst. Destroying a Tangle creates a Suspending burst after a short delay. Threadling final blows also create Tangles.”

Suspend is a very strong subclass verb even after the nerfs it received with the launch of Season of the Witch. Whenever you are using a Strand subclass there will always be an abundance of Tangles and you can use this Aspect to use these Tangles to Suspend combatants.

8Ensnaring Slam

Ensnaring Slam is an Aspect for Hunter that is similar to Shatterdive and Trapper’s Ambush in terms of how you use it and the movement potential. Ensnaring Slam however focuses on Suspending enemy combatants.

It states “Activate your air move to consume your class ability energy and dive to the ground, suspending all nearby targets on impact. Using this ability extends class ability cooldown time.” You can use Ensnaring Slam with the Exotic Sixth Coyote to get an extra dodge.

7Widow’s Silk

Widow’s Silk is an Aspect for Hunters that improves the functionality of Grenades, especially the Grapple as it states “You have an additional Grenade charge. Your Grappling Hook creates a Grapple Tangle at the grapple point.”

Widow’s Silk works best with Grapple grenades, but that does not mean that it does not work with other Grenades as well. It is very good with Shackle grenades as you’re able to Suspend more combatants which is very good in higher-tier content.

6Drengr’s Lash

Drengr’s Lash is a Titan Aspect that focuses on Suspend. It works as “Activate your class ability to create a ripple in reality that travels forward along the ground, suspending and damaging targets it hits.”

Drengr’s Lash is used almost exclusively with the Titan Exotic Abeyant Leap which allows it to create more suspending ripples as well as gain Woven Mail when Suspending targets. Drengr’s Lash along with Abeyant Leap is very good for Suspending large groups of combatants.

5Into The Fray

Into the Fray is a Titan Aspect which states “Destroying a Tangle or casting your super grants Woven Mail for nearby allies. While you have Woven Mail, your melee regeneration rate is increased.”

Woven Mailis an extremely powerful source of damage resistance providing you with a damage resistance of 60 percent. Into the Fray provides an easy way to obtain Woven Mail and also get the benefit of improved melee ability regeneration.

4Mindspun Invocation

Mindspun Invocation is a Warlock Aspect that substantially improves Strand Grenades’ functionality. It states “Your Grapple, Shackle Grenade, and Threadling Grenade have improved functionality.”

Destiny 2 Season of the Witch: Best Warlock Builds

This guide breaks down the best Warlock builds you need to try in Destiny 2’s Season of the Witch.

With Mindspun Invocation, your Grapple Melee spawns three Threadling eggs. You can consume your Threadling Grenades to immediately generate five perched Threadlings and you can consume Shackle Grenade to activate Weaver’s Trance. Final blows while Weaver’s Trance is active create a suspending detonation.

3Weavewalk

Weavewalk is a brand-new Warlock Aspect that was released with the launch of Season of the Witch. It was extremely potent at launch and so strong that it had to be disabled from The Crucible and the Raid race of Crota’s End.

Weavewalk states “Dodge while airborne to consume your melee energy and enter the weave, gaining damage resistance from players. Reactivate your air dodge or cast your Rift to exit the weave. While in the weave, you generate Threadlings over time.”
