The entire anime community was eagerly waiting forDemon Slayerto come back with a second season. Well, season 2 of the legendary anime series is officially here; however, the first few episodes of new seasons will readapt theMugen TrainArc. On the other hand, the Entertainment District Arc will now begin in December.

As promised, thefirst episodeof theMugen TrainArc featured unseen events. It was an excellent start to Kyojuro Rengoku’s journey with Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Nezuko. And after experiencing the brilliance of episode 1, fans are already looking forward to the second episode’s release.

Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 1 Recap

In the previousDemon Slayerepisode, we saw Rengoku investigating the murder of 40 people in the Mugen Train. To learn more about the train, the Flame Hashira visits the service station of Mugen Train. There, he finds out that the train will be back on track the next day. However, before Rengoku could reach, the Slasher demon takes a boy hostage and tries to kill him. Fortunately, Rengoku easily saves the boy by cutting the demon’s hands.

The demon then uses his incredible speed to reach the station, where he plans to kill the granddaughter and child, selling lunch boxes. Surprisingly, Rengoku uses total concentration breathing to get the super speed and kills the demon before he could do more harm.

After that, Rengoku confirms that a different demon is killing people in the Mugen Train. So, he decides to get on the train, where Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke follow him.

When Does Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 2 Come Out?

Season 2 ofDemon Slayerwill follow a weekly release schedule, so you will get to watch Episode 2 this weekend on Sunday, October 17th, 2021.

You can watch the previous and latest season ofDemon SlayeronCrunchyrollandFunimation. If you’re a premium user, episode 2 will be available for you on October 17th. On the other hand, free users will have to wait one more week to get the second episode.

Release Time

Crunchyroll released the first episode of Season 2 at 8:45 AM PDT (Pacific Timing). Considering that, it’s safe to say that episode 2 will also come out at the same time. But of course, the release time will vary depending on your region.

What Will Be Episode 2 About?

Interestingly, the title of the upcoming Demon Slayer episode is confirmed to be"Deep Sleep,“Fans who’ve watched theMugen Trainmovie might already have some idea about the next episode’s plot. Interestingly, episode 2 will feature the mysterious demon putting Rengoku, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke into a deep sleep. On the other hand, Nezuko will try everything in her power to wake her brother from sleep.

How Many Episodes Will be in Demon Slayer Season 2?

It was recentlyconfirmedthat the second season of Demon Slayer Season 2 would consist of 18 episodes. Season 2 is shorter compared to the first season, which had a total of 26 episodes. Also, initially, Season 2 was supposed to kick off in October with the Entertainment District Arc. However, last month, the studio confirmed that the first seven episodes of Season 2 would adapt theMugen Train Arc.

So, the new arc of the anime will only consist of 11 episodes; however, the first episode of Entertainment District Arc will be one hour long. Also, you’d have to wait until December to watch the next arc.
