Since the end of the Swordsmith Village arc, theDemon Slayerfans were expecting when the Hashira Training arc would be animated. At the end of 2023, it was announced that the anime would return in early 2024. There would also be a movie that would showcase the beginning of the arc. TheDemon Slayerfans were expecting great things from the movie.
Demon Slayerhas reached the peak of popularity in the last few years. The manga was completed a few years ago, and since then, the fans have been waiting for it to get animated. While the return of the anime has got the fans excited, the movie seems to have caused controversy among the fans. They are not happy with the runtime of the movie.

TheDemon Slayermovie is namedThe Roar of Victory. It is scheduled to release on June 26, 2025. Haruo Sotozaki is the filmmaker. He is responsible for the previous movies of the franchise, too. The movie is set to run for one hour and forty-four minutes, and it has become the epicenter of problems for the fans. During the announcement of the movie, it was mentioned the movie would be a mixture of the last first of the Swordsmith Village arc and the beginning of the Hashira Training arc.

TheDemon Slayerfans are furious since they did not get their wish fulfilled. The Hashira Training arc is one of the major arcs inDemon Slayer, but it is not quite long. It acts as a prologue to the final arc. It could have been converted into a movie, but the producers insisted on milking the cow too much. They are doing a recap movie, along with a new season. The fans were quick to address their concern on social media.

So 44 mins or so if we exclude the 2 episodes from the previous season that they will show 🥹 which is still ok ig, but I wish we could see more of the new season, or something original exclusive to theaters only.
Some even question how well the movie will perform.
But the new season will be released in February 2, isnt it? What’s the point of release that movie/recopilation later?
