Aniplex and CyberConnect2 confirmed theDemon Slayer: Kimetsu no YaibaPS4 game is also releasing onPS5,Xbox One, andPC. The game coming to Xbox One also means it’s automatically releasing onXbox Series Xthrough backward compatibility. The game will launch sometime in 2021 in Japan.
The news is from,as we previously reported, the February 8 releasing issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The magazineleakedearly as always. Moreover, the next issue next week will be including further details.
Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppuutan, to cite the game’s official name, was initially announced exclusively on PS4, but the PS5, PC and Xbox One release shows Sony Aniplex plans to reach an audience as big as possible.
Switchis the sole console missing out now on theDemon Slayer: Kimetsu no YaibaPS4 Game. This is jut a guess but it’s likely Aniplex and CyberConnect2 will also release the game on Switch sometime after the PS4, PS5, Xbox One and PC versions.
It’s also important to noteKimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppuutanwas not announced outside Japan yet. However, a multi platform release and a Xbox One release means it’s more likely than ever for a western release to come around. At the end of the day, there is no way the game won’t release outside Japan seeing the franchise’s incredible popularity.
