Death Stranding Finally Makes It To Xbox Platforms
After five years since Hideo Kojima released Death Stranding on PS4 and PS5, it’s now available on Xbox Series X|S (Sorry, Xbox One!) as the Director’s Cut version, which includes the previous updates and added content released on PlayStation platforms.
Players can expect High Frame Rate Mode, Photo Mode, ultra-wide monitor support, crossover content from Valve’s Half-Life franchise, and CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 to be part of the package.

Since its release in 2019, Hideo Kojima has confirmed that they are working on its sequel,Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, which Kojima confirmed last month will be announced sometime in 2025. Will it be available on Xbox platforms anytime soon, though, or will owners of Microsoft’s console need to wait five years again to play it on their platform? Let’s hope not—especially since, by that time, we’d have moved on to the PS6 and whatever Microsoft calls its next Xbox console.
