As always with DayZ,these new elements offer plenty of rewards and even more risks.

Survivors can now find helicopter crash sites, often identifiable by the smoke columns, with plenty of loot scattered around. You are also guaranteed to have a good time with the variety of fishing and patrol boats that ran aground after the virus swept over the area.
Those chasing a more relaxing time can now skip the trip to Iceland—you have cooler, better hot springs in Sakhal anyway. Watch out for geysers though, unless you want to turn yourself into soup.
No zombie apocalypse is complete without a wide variety of guns to ‘negotiate’ with the infected hordes charging your way. In DayZ, these also offer compelling arguments against other players.Update 1.28 adds two new weapons that are perfect for short-range engagements.
The first of these is the RAK-37, a compact open bolt submachine gun chambered in .380 ACP. This gun has no fire selector so you’re always on full auto, which gets tricky as magazine sizes are limited to 15 and 25 rounds. It cannot fit any attachments, but it has an integral foregrip and is virtually waterproof.
The other toy included in patch 1.28 is the R12 shotgun, a semi-automatic 12-gauge death dispenser. This is heavily inspired by the Benelli M4 with the standard grip and stock instead of the pistol grip. In DayZ, this gun fits one round in the chamber plus seven in the magazine, and has mounts for sights and lights. Just don’t expect much ranged performance out of this.

Other weapons in the game get some love in the shape of new scope options, making even your grandpa’s hunting rifle a capable weapon, provided you can put some distance between you and your target.
These arethe Russian PSO-6 (6x magnification) and Leupold Mark 4 (variable, 3.5x-10x) sniper scopes, and the Sportpoint (2x) assault scope. All three are battery-powered. Although less useful for sniping business, the Sportpoint is a viable one-size-fits-all scope thanks to its wide field of vision.
All weapons in the game got a balancing pass, with better damage against the infected, and major buffs in terms of sway control when firing weapons prone. To balance that out, most weapons had their dispersion and recoil values slightly adjusted.
All The Fixes
The DayZ patch 1.28 reworked the sounds and animations for SMGs, hunting rifles, and sniper rifles. You’ll also find your teeth chattering to be a little more manageable.
The infected have beenstripped of their teleportation devices, so they shouldn’t clip through floors anymore, which goes well with the updated collision geometries on some areas that had been causing trouble.
Multiple server browser crashes and lag spikes have been fixed as well, making it easier to sort through them without losing hair over it.
