The Glacial Passage is relatively sparse in terms of sea life that calls it home, and you’ll only find six species of fish here. The Pelican Eel looks like any regular eel but with a brownish-green skin tone that blends against the background.
How To Get The Pelican Eel Skin
A key ingredient to upgrade to the Steel Net Gun,Pelican Eel skins can be obtained after killing or capturing a Pelican Eel.The Glacial Passage can only be entered after reachingChapter 4in the story. So, if you’re looking to upgrade your Net Gun earlier on, progress the main story missions until you reach this point where you’ll be introduced to this area automatically.
The Pelican Eel can be found at the start of the Glacial Passage.You’ll find this area by taking the portal in the Sea People village up to the Tenzhin’s Palace and activating the snowy mountain just to the right of it.
Solve the puzzles there to unlock two doors that are blocking the path down.As soon as you pass the second door, you’ll see amuddy brown Eel with a red doton top of it, indicating it is an aggressive fish. This is the Pelican Eel.
It is completely unnecessary to worry about catching the Pelican Eel alive if your goal is only to get the Pelican Eel’s skin. Simply take the Eel out using yourmost powerful weaponandpress and hold Spacebar to claim a piece of Pelican Eel skin.
ThePelican Eel is a rare spawn, and you might have to revisit the Glacial Passage a couple of times in order to get allthree pieces of Pelican Eel skinneeded for the upgrade. It is an aggressive species that likes to performlunge attacksfor sudden bursts of damage like a shark. Move out of the way and deal damage to take it down. Bring yourstrongest upgraded weaponto take it down.
How To Upgrade To The Steel Net Gun

We’ve already discussed how to find the Pelican Eel skin in the Glacial Passage, but the other ingredients can be farmed byplaying through the game normallyand exploring the region.
Goldcan be obtained by turning a profit at the Sushi bar or by selling valuables,Topazcan be found in late game areas as an ore,Steel Ropecan be found in the overworld and can be bought by the Sea People at a later point in the game, and aLarge Net Gunwill need to be crafted by upgrading your Net Gun.
