A newCyberpunk 2077mod adds something truly terrifying to the game’s dystopian futuristic world: rent payments. Those who want the horrors of dealing with landlords can now do so via a mod in the PC version of the game.
In thebase version of Cyberpunk 2077, the player starts out with their own apartment, where they can rest, stash gear, and chill out on the couch with some TV. As V earns money, the player can rent out new apartments across Night City, including some truly swanky options that cost a ton of cash.
Those who want a morerealistic Night City experiencecan add leases to their life, thanks to the Eviction Notice – Story Driven Rent System mod, which is now available onNexus Mods. Created by user DarkFortuneTeller, the Eviction Notice mod fleshes out the rental experience for the PC version of Cyberpunk 2077.
The Eviction Notice Mod Adds Landlords & Rental Payments To Night City
Once the player has completed Act 1, they will need to pay regular weekly rent on any apartments they own, including the default one. These aren’t automatic, as the player will manually need to respond to messages andpay when they have the cash. Once the player rents three apartments, they’ll gain an auto-pay option.
If the player doesn’t pay the rent, they’ll be evicted and won’t be able to access the property until they’ve paid all of the charges. Each property comes with its own landlord, who will communicate with V via texts, while all of the apartments now have new names. There is currently a loyalty quest for one of the landlords, with more planned in the future.
The intention for the mod is to make Night City a bit more realistic, while adding to thegame’s overall difficulty. Considering that V only has a vaguely short lifespan throughout the game, they should have been spared the need to pay bills, but those just itching to deal with property can add that to their Cyberpunk 2077 experience.
