In small but big news, a Tweet published by the officialCyberpunk 2077account appears to have confirmed that photo mode will be arriving in the game. The Tweet is nothing more than two hashtags reading, “#CaptureCyberpunk #PhotosFromNightCity” and is illustrated with a GIF showing off Night City before a glitchy camera icon flitters in.For many, photo modes in games are brilliant. I myself adore having the option to control the camera and camera properties to create some great looking shots using the beautiful world provided.Cyberpunk 2077Âis a game that seems like it’d benefit from having such a mode as the atmosphere and lighting can really open the players up to some incredibly beautiful photos.
There’s no information regarding what the photo mode could include. I’ve seen games introduce a photo mode that doesn’t allow for much control other than placement and depth of field, and it’s not wonderful. However, if this is confirmation of a photo mode, that means that players won’t need to install photo mode hacks for the PC version of the game. Although, knowing the photo mode community there will probably be mods to enhance what is already in place.
The hashtags used in the Tweet above also seem to confirm the photo mode inclusion as we’ve seen photo modes in various games start-up hashtags so that players can share their shots with the community. It just seems that the developer is just getting ahead of the game here. The fact we’re seeing this so early on also says to me it’ll be available at launch.ÂControl, for example, launched without a photo mode butintroduced it post-launch.Days GoneÂhowever spoke aboutphoto mode prior to launch.
Not only that but the other day we saw theCyberpunk 2077Âaccounttease a new moody screenshot.I’m wondering if that screenshot was captured using the photo mode tool?
Cyberpunk 2077will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on June 18, 2025, with the game also arriving on Google Stadia in the future. In the meantime, you canpre-order the game now over on Amazon.
