Zombie Devil Towering Over An Army of Zombies

The Zombie Devil is shown to have an immensehatred towards devil huntersfor killing its kind. The initial deal with the Zombie Devil and the Yakuza was for them to bring him devil hunters to kill in exchange for power. This hatred can further be seen as the zombies don’t just kill Denji but dismember him after death and dispose of him in a nearby dumpster.

Powers and Abilities

Like all devils, the Zombie Devil is able to consume blood in order to heal its wounds. It is also able to turn humans into zombies. For the Yakuza members, the devil did uphold its end of the deal and gave them power, but took their free will by making them zombies. These zombies act fully under the will of the devil and move as a mindless mass without any independence. Zombies are also able to fight even after being severely injured, making them useful weapons against devil hunters who are unable to cut through them quickly.

Devils get their strength from the fear humans have for their names. The more recognizable and feared a word is, the more power the devil is given. Given the world of Chainsaw man is anything like ours, zombie video games and tv shows provide the Zombie Devil with a great deal of power.
