The upcomingChainsaw Manmovie will cover the Reze Arc or the Bomb Girl Arc. Reze is finally introduced and this will set the stage for the second season and the rest of the series to take off from the International Assassins Arc.

Reze’s romance with Denji was turbulent, to say the least. It’s a typical Tatsuki Fujimoto dynamic where it’s a little bit controversial but with a message behind it.Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arcwill cover their budding romance but if MAPPA is cruel enough, they might even show its end.
The movie will officially be released in 2025, although no set date is available. Fans ofChainsaw Manhave debated who would be the best love interest for Denji, the main protagonist who’s been taken advantage of too often. Reze was one of the only genuine romances that fans might gravitate towards. However, the end of the Reze Arc shows us their fates were never intertwined.

The end of the Reze Arc ofChainsaw Manbroke the fans’ hearts
For once, fans were relieved Denji wasn’t getting groomed or assaulted by someone significantly older than him. The bar might be lower than the depths of hell but Reze was a genuine romance that had potential, despite how disturbing some moments were. However,Tatsuki Fujimotohad to remind fans that this isChainsaw Man.
Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc Movie – Say Goodbye to Makima Fans as Black Clover Director Helms MAPPA’s Passion Project
Reze and Denji weren’t a conventional shoujo romance by any means. It was complicated and had layers. Her main goal was to rip Denji’s heart out but in the time she waited to catch him off guard, it seemed she developed genuine feelings for him. They’re a mix of love, manipulation, and escapism. She connected and empathized with him, to her surprise.
It’s even more of a surprise that at the end of the Reze Arc, even after she reveals it’s all a ruse, Denji waits for her at their cafe. He even buys her a bouquet to top it off. However, in classicChainsaw Manfashion, it wasn’t meant to be.

It seemed that the boy was getting stood up but in reality, Reze got ambushed by Makima. She even thought of Denji while she was on the verge of death. It’s incredibly tragic that she actually did change her mind about running away with him, only to be trapped by Makima.

Will theChainsaw Manmovie leave it on a cliffhanger?
If MAPPA adapts this ending and only shows Denji’s perspective, it will leave the movie on a cliffhanger. It will only add to the devastating blow of their romantic story when he is just about to make up with Reze. Their romance had enough potential to turn into something healthier.
Chainsaw Man Might Be Making a Huge Mistake Letting Go of Ryu Nakayama Because of a Possible Live-Action Adaptation
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Archas 13 chapters worth of content to cover. Althoughfans might not want a movieand just cut straight to the second season, the movie provides a chance for them to change the formula of storytelling.
Considering mostChainsaw Manepisodes adapted at least 3 chapters, the movie might be able to show us the cafe scene. A movie would help condense the Reze Arc in a format that’s perfect for it since it’s focused on their love story. It will certainly set up the second season of the anime perfectly and keep fans on their toes.

Chainsaw Manis available on Crunchyroll.
